It depends. You sound like a casual gamer like myself. Nearly all games come with some sort of dlc these days. You're not obliged to buy it and it doesn't take anything away from the overall gaming experience. In the example of first person shooters dlc would unlock new maps, give you exclusive tags, weapons and bonus unlockable items. I don't usually bother myself. Ironically enough my favourite game at the minute is a freebie. You can buy in game purchases if you want but that's up to the user, I haven't, you don't need to if you're patient enough. Gamings getting cheaper if you know how to use it to your advantage. EA access is probably one of the better platforms for playing demos of new games and access to older games of the EA back catalogue but that's only on xbox1.

p.s. Sorry for sounding a bit dumb! You can tell it's been a while. The last console I had was an N64 back in the day!!!

Are PS4 games pretty cheap now or am I missing something i.e. do you have to pay any extras online etc? I'm thinking of buying my first PS4 but just want to make sure I'm not missing any hidden expenses.

Depends if your running it though a 4k set, if you are a lot of the games resolution are higher than 1080p. Running though a 1080p set still offers improvements to frame rate and graphics on a number of games.

Is the performance massively noticeable between the PS4 slim and the Pro?
I would only be buying the Slim to play certain titles such as TLG as have a high spec PC for all other gaming.:man:
