Just got this in the ASDA Llandudno store for £188 (In store only) and not sure if it national' it might only be this store but maybe it might get reduced in other stores over the next few days so keep a look out.
I Know its not a top brand but a 50 inch UHD smart tv for £188 is great and is perfect for what i need and for those who don't have stupid money for a more well know branded name.
(They also had the Polaroid 55 inch UHD smart tv for £250)

we have a Polaroid in our living room. it's not a smart TV but paid £280 12-18 months ago. it's a great TV but sound has started to play up and the speakers vibrate so maybe they won't last too long

Speakers in the slim TVs are not very good anyway so just get a sound box which is far superior sound with a good base, Problem solved.

Didn't get to ask if it was national i just confirmed that it was 4k and that the price was correct at £188 and as people where starting to crowd around trying to get one, i just payed for it and left.

My local ASDA had a similar offer but they were a bit cheeky with their price branding as it said in tiny writing "prices from." Think this one was £259 even though sign was above and below it! The lower price was for a 40" they had underneath. Might wanna double check your card lol
Good price though as a spare TV if you can get one!!

Wow the first ever actual deal on the 50" ish 2016 Vestel that has been posted at £270-320 a gazillion times!
So folks watch your local ASDA for when they cut the price. Still normal in Canterbury.
i kinda agree, very jealous of the op lol. But if we can't get one is it really a deal? we should just be congratulating him instead :-)

How does that make sense... They got it at a good 'deal' so that makes it a deal... With your logic that means I can't get any in store offers anywhere coz I'm at home sitting on the pooper... So none should be on here!

No 50" Polaroid on Asda web site, nearest is a 49" for £389, so probably not national and getting rid of old stock were left on shelves. Pricing usually down to managers discretion.
So the probability of getting one is probably close to zero then.

It may be a good price, but the same can't be said for the picture quality. Bought a smaller size for my grandson, but took it back for a refund and bought a Samsung with a fantastic picture and good sound.

Who is voting this rubbish hot? Been in 3 x Asda and nothing near this price. I reckon a lot of these in-store deals are done by staff. The big stores def plant these bogus deals. A mate of mine is a sales director at a well known retailer and he laughed and shrugged his shoulders when I asked him about such activities. Fair enough posting the deal but seriously why vote it hot until proven to be available???

I don't work for ASDA and I posted a pic of the receipt, I said that i didn't know/ask if it was national and it might just be in that store only' But it was worth a look in other stores. So all i can say is that i got a great deal so i posted it. oh and the store number is on the receipt so by all means call them to ask.

For those who wish to spend a bit more, I bought a 48" Hitachi uhd at argos a few days ago for £299.
Absolutely stunning picture, well impressed, I know it's more money but I would suggest Hitachi are a better make than the Polaroid.
Well done OP for getting that deal, though I am well happy with my purchase

You can feel that its not a top of the range tv but its not the cheapest feel iv seen out there and tbh the picture quality is great and it's fast at loading the smart part of it and it gets a great WIFI signal. Ill see how long it lasts and if any problems come up' but for now and as a spare room tv its perfect.

Well I finally made a trip to an ASDA who have the tv in stock at £349. They had it on and its a good enough picture, looks fairly well made, remote looks ok but not for me @ £348 worth a punt at the OP's price but for £349 Hisense makes much more sense. Well done OP, great find but not for everyone unfortunately
