I've just looked on the back of my voucher and it does say can't be used on alcohol. But I have used these vouchers every week for a month on alcohol only shops so they do work.

I've wrongly assumed, probably like many others, that when these vouchers say 'Not valid for purchases of Alcohol, Tobacco, Fuel' etc that they wouldn't work through the till. Unless the rest of your basket without the alcohol adds up to more than the minimum spend maybe?

I have same voucher and plan to do something very similar. Usually just have the £2 or £3 off £20 spend and get a few bottles wine!
Is it usually £5 a bottle for the prosecco, it doesnt say 'was .... ' so does seem its the normal price
