Check out all that moaning, already.
I strongly suggest you go read reviews for the top two games alone. Both have overwhelming reviews on Steam. It's a great month for actual gamers.
I'll never understand it, if you want AAA titles with fancy graphics and below average gameplay, then go out and buy them.
There has certainly been questionable months for PlayStation Plus. This isn't one or them. Cheers OP, looking forward to Titan Souls on the Vita. Heated

You haven't upset me, but its clear you do not like other disliking whatever months PS Plus offerings, you might not direct it at a specific person, but you direct it generally at what you call people moaning.
I do not care if you attempt to appreciate what I am saying..
The site is inherently a forum for deals, people can give an opinion for or against it, its not moaning is it if someone dislikes PS Plus dismal offerings? Sony has been pushing the lower shelf stuff since the changed the way PS Plus worked a couple of years back and removed PS1 games etc.. and since they won the PS4/XB1 launch period they have now sat back and are still riding the wave it caused..
I also do not think a comment like if you want AAA titles then buy them, helps, If Sony promise free games each month wheres the harm in expecting something decent, MS seems to hit the nail on the head most months and I mean Humble Bundle offers more for far far less.
I normally ignore your comments on it but its pretty much the same one every month regarding this subject. I thought before we have another year of it maybe I should mention it? and do not apologise I'm not trying patronise or saying anything with malice, its purely my constructive criticism.

Today's the last day you can get January's games before February's IGC goes up so if you haven't added them to your library, you should do so before the new ones go up later on in the day.

I tried them too but actually enjoyed at least 3 of them. Guess it's down to personal preference but I'm content with the month's games. Maybe there'll be something there for you next month.
They won't make online multiplayer free since their console rival set the precedence in the first place and they're still making up lost ground.

I just played and deleted every ps plus game within 5 minutes except for This war of mine which seems kind of interesting so i'll save that for a rainy day, so no one can say I didn't at least try them. I honestly think they should either give back free multiplayer which is very unlikely but they should offer a cheaper ps plus subscription without the games as obviously enough people aren't feeling like they are getting their moneys worth.

This might seem selfish but I got good games out of PS+. This month alone, I know I'll play Day of the Tentacle, This War of Mine and Titan Souls (if I can beat any of the bosses) to completion. The rest are a bonus but probably not my type of game.
I know plenty that don't even bother adding the games to their library but that's their mistake. Takes a few minutes to go to the web store and add all the games to the basket.
Splitting online and the IGC is a good idea but it wouldn't make any business sense on Sony's side.
They probably subscribed for a year or something and feel like they got swindled but you can't please everyone. If I hated PS+ that much, I'd just sell my PS4 when my PS+ lapsed instead of wasting time and energy trying to convince others to think the same.

You're of course welcome to your opinion, but we're going to have to agree to disagree and I suggest that you find something better to do than troll these threads. While not every PS+ post goes hot, the heat of this and many other similar posts would certainly suggest that plenty of others disagree with you too. If you don't like the PS+ service, you're quite welcome not to subscribe.

There was an article on Polygon which showed that the combined price of all of the games on PS+ last year was over $1.1k - albeit using the PSN Store prices for the costs. That's likely to translate to around £1000GBP, because of the way most retailers do a swap-the-dollar-sign-for-a-pound-sign "currency conversion", for £35.
You'll then get the argument that "I wouldn't buy any of that indie / art house / retro / old / sports game (delete as appropriate) crap anyway"... but (unless they are unreasonably difficult to please) there must be at least two or three PS+ games that every user has played for a few hours and even (God forbid!) enjoyed - 3 games for £35? Good value for money IMO...
Me? I've battered Stories, Tropico 5, Broforce and Code Realize over the last 12 months as well as archiving the other games so I can either play through them, or try them, decide they're cack and delete them, at my leisure, as well as playing through some of the games I archived from 2015 and earlier. Probably just about got my £31.22's worth for my subscription. I even played online a bit...

5 Jan 17#235
No one gives a crap about those bonuses except a very small minority. There are various reports on the internet by developers themselves that state many people do not even download the ''free'' games. I guarantee you if people had the option of these trash games and free online literally everyone would choose free online. I'd rather spend that £30-£35 on a game I actually want to pay not what some stupid fool at Sony thinks I should be playing.

4 Jan 171#234
If PS+ was a scam, it'd offer nothing in return for your purchase. Instead you get all those services you listed and more.
I've bought years of PS+ and will be renewing again come March, I feel I got my £24's worth in 2016 (thanks Very) and will probably be paying £30-£35 again but I know I'll get a few games I'll play and complete. On top of that, I can share my games with family on another PS4 which is a huge bonus.
darkspace100
4 Jan 17#233
Could you show me your internet police licence?
On my other reply is what I'm saying is everything about ps plus is a scam. Online cloud saves? Many companies provide plenty of GB of cloud data for free. ? Discounts? This is an illusion to make you think your getting a good price when in reality they are just giving non ps plus members less of a discount and if it wasn't for ps plus everyone would have got the lowest discount price regardless. Online gaming should be free like it was on PS3 and other platforms like PC and Nintendo. The fact that you are listing all the reason why you subscribe is you trying to justify an unjustified extra cost. People already pay an arm and leg just for internet so why are we paying for a online paywall? Its a scam plain and simple.

Platinum Games has grown a lot it seems! I stand corrected. In that case, the lack of more or well-established franchises are probably what people want. Sony said they want PS+ to offer games you wouldn't try unless it was offered to you but they have broken that rule a lot. Guess it's spoilt us early adopters a bit.
You can add all of the games except for Blazerush and Titan Souls on the internet PS store. I'm sure the others will be updated later.

3 Jan 17#225
In this context I think the distinction is the budget/size of the developer team involved.
I don't think it's just either/or though - there are 'bigger' games out there that aren't cookie cutter shooter or action adventure sequels (some of the ones mentioned above for example).
One example would be Alien Isolation. It's a bigger budget title (maybe AA?) but isn't a cookie cutter shooter or action adventure sequel. It's been out for a while too and has been reduced a good few times before, so probably wouldn't cost Sony as much for IGC.

3 Jan 171#224
You don't need to say 'triple AAA', it's 'AAA' or 'triple A'.
cannibalwombat
2 Jan 17#223
Platinum Games (Transformers) are most certainly a "triple A" developer. I'd also say that Lords of the Fallen qualifies as a "triple A" game by most people's estimation. It's basically the poor man's Dark Souls, and I don't think anyone would claim that Dark Souls is anything but "triple A". Tropico 5 is also a fairly robust strategy game with an established pedigree.
Though as I hope is evident by my liberal use of inverted commas, I have little time for distinctions such as "AAA" and "indie". They're essentially meaningless terms. I much prefer Sony giving me a variety of well-reviewed games I may not even have heard of (as is often the case) for me to take a punt on (and often be pleasantly surprised by), than dish out "AAA" games that I have probably already bought or have zero interest in because it's another cookie cutter shooter or action adventure sequel.
It's sad that folks are so reluctant to try something different and can't see the IGC as an opportunity to broaden gaming horizons! Or a least a bonus on top of online gaming, cloud storage and deeper digital discounts.
Illusionary
2 Jan 17#222
"AAA" has always been something of a nebulous term, but I'll grant you that these aren't the biggest names. Of course, it's not really realistic to expect that we'll see many of those big-name titles being offered as part of the IGC package just yet - and those who are interested would probably have bought them outright by the time that they could.
But yes, I similarly prefer quality 'indie' games too, so we already agree!
tsimehC
2 Jan 17#221
None of which are really triple AAA developer titles (I'm guessing that's what most people complain about) but they're pretty good. Devastation was my favourite game, if a little too repetitive after a few hours. LotF isn't very good if you've played Dark Souls games before and Tropico 5 is a niche game. I prefer quality indie titles (over average big production games) anyway so I'm not complaining with this month.

How did I miss this news?! Seems like a great selection to me.
Bought Day of the Tentacle in August and coincidentally got the platinum 2 days ago. It's a bizarre game but really refreshing and cognitively challenging, a real throwback to what gaming was before I got into it. And it's genuinely good! If you've played Grim Fandango, then you'll have an idea what to expect. It plays well on the Vita.
Also, to anyone who likes these kind of games, a similar game I finished over the holidays that I recommend is Demetrios on Vita. A point and clink adventure game made (and ported over from PC) entirely by one guy. It's a fun story, full of humour (mostly of the toilet kind if that's your kind of thing) and is packed with features and options, impressively so for a port of a labour of love!
As well as having bought that, I have a physical copy of This War of Mine that I've never touched (grrr) but Blazerush and Titan Souls look pretty cool.
Moaners gonna moan. The two headline titles alone make it worthwhile.

Sadly, it's another month where I own most of them already - I'm just a sucker for psn sales :disappointed:
As for quality, Day of the Tentacle is pretty much the exact same game you remember from back in the day (that's if you are of the generation who grew up with hilarious point and click adventures) and has held up better than say Grim Fandango, imo.
Titan souls is a brilliant concept - one life, one arrow and nothing but boss battles. It has a nice retro SNES-era look but unfortunately also compares to the difficulty of games back then which I've been far too coddled from in the last twenty years. If you have the patients for tough games, you will love it.

Yeah of course, similar to the PS3 offerings would be grand. Great games that aren’t expensive any more:
Dark Souls II Scholar of the First Sin
Ratchet and Clank
The Last of Us Remastered
Tomb Raider Definitive Edition
Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition
To be honest Sony could put most of their first party catalogue on Plus. How many copies do they sell of Second Son, Little Big Planet 3 and Knack per week, probably about 5? Or even mediocre titles like Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed Unity.

I do. Other than Destiny and the Division I don't think I have played anything online in 18 months of being a ps4 owner. I got PS PLUS when I had it was ONLY for the free games and discounts. If I want a AAA game, I will buy it but I have had hours of enjoyment from the smaller games such as Actual Sunlight, Everyone has gone to the Rapture, Gone Home and Journey in the past 6 months. Not all smaller games are good, some are completely not to my taste but as there are 6 per month across all 3 platforms, I normally get around 10 hours of game play out of PS PLUS which is roughly double what I would get out of the story of COD but for a fraction of the price. Day of the tenticle was one of my favourite games growing up in the 90s. With a complete overhaul of the graphics, I am looking forward to playing it again next Tuesday ... while wearing a techno hypocolour t-shirt, listening to the reef/ocean colour scene and drinking hooch or 20/20.

Why do people leave comments like "You're not going to get AAA CoD every month!", as if the only options are AAA first person shooters and indie games?
What about B-tier games, things like Transformers from October or higher-budget downloadable titles like Everyone's Gone to the Rapture. Personally I'd be happy with that.
It's just the low-effort stuff: 8-bit style graphics, excessive side-scrollers and pretentious over-stylised games that keep being churned out. It's the kind of stuff that's on steam or bundle sites for pennies. Most are an acquired taste at best.

Most of the money these days is going towards putting the infrastructure there to cope with player numbers, I reckon. I paid for Xbox live since 2004 and they only introduced free games in about 2012/13 or something. All that time, nobody moaned about paying for it (and Xbox was obviously building up its servers n stuff). When PS3 released (late, and at double the cost of the 360) they gave away online gaming for free to try and recover lost ground, and also offered ps plus (which, I imagine, was another loss leader for Sony). Unfortunately, in terms of their servers, etc Sony have always been behind, and are now having to catch up - plus I think they're now the leading console (in terms of sales), so no-longer have to tempt people to buy one.
But yeah, pretty dump month for plus members lol.

Personally I think it's a great time to be a gamer. I've not even spent much and I've got a backlog of games I can't wait to play. FFXV, Witcher 3, Star Wars, Shadow of Mordor I've barely touched after getting them on good deals. I could easily take a month of work and spend the whole time on my Playstation.
Some of these PS plus games are just a bonus. Lately I've spent a lot of time on Rocket League (despite trying not to), and made a start on Resident Evil and Lords of the Fallen which I'm looking forward to getting back into. Day of the Tentacle is a blast from the past and will be a great bit of nostalgia if I ever get around to it. Maybe in 2018!

Mental statement. This War of Mine is an amazing game, its intelligent and actually makes you consider your decisions and their consequences. It's utterly unique and thought provoking.
Day of the Tentacle is an absolute classic that has endured for decades.
Titan Souls is one of the top rated indie games of the past few years.
I realise it's not exactly the Call of Duty you're presumably wanting, but thank Christ that is the case. I see someone else suggesting we get The Evil Within! That game is utterly dreadful to play, looks nice though, so maybe that's enough.

I agree, 1 or 2 side - scrollers are tolerable but i didn't buy the world's no.1 console and now a Pro both of which are marketed on processing power, graphics, 4k etc to be offered SS'ers by the company shovelling the former. Like most retailers Sony are one who forget your name but not your CC details.
You love indie games great, don't slate gamers who question what their cash is paying for. I think there should be discounts for those who just use MP or DL individually. [ 2 cents ]

Normally I'll buy something in the sale, never play it because I've got a backlog of games and then it'll be free on gold or plus, happened with Resident Evil.
So it makes sense for me to not buy any game I know I won't be starting immediately, waiting for Firewatch to hit plus/gold is the sensible choice for me.

If i wanted a side scroller i would download one free from Google app store... I didn't buy a PS4 to play stuff like that, Inside-Limbo-OlliOlli-Steamworld Dig, Shovel Knights.... All rubbish imo. And a lot of games on plus are either new or newish. And i didn't say i expect AAA even though we have had some like.... Infamous FL... ZOMBi... NBA 2K16.... Saints Row Get out of Hell.... Lords of the Fallen... Resident Evil.... Injustice.... Japan have had some also like The Evil Within... So no reason i can't think we might get another seen as though some are old now.... But i do expect AAA every month for PS3 instead of getting rubbish or crossbuy! Oh and we already got MGSV, fair enough it was GZ but still MGSV lol. All sony are doing is giving us rubbish so they get more money... I don't care what anyone says but i know hardly any of the subscription money goes towards the online service.... It all use to go on the IGC.... Making the PS4 require ps plus to be online was just $$$$$$$ to sony. What i think they should do is have separate subscriptions.... 1 for online and 1 for the IGC.

I've been a Ps+ subscriber long before they decided to cheapen out and make it required for online, when the quality was amazing as well. I'm a PC gamer, so all I want is the games, that's why I subscribe and always have.
That said, I think this month is great. What PS+ should be, is for great games that someone might not typically buy, War of Mine being a good example, its a great game.
2 out of 4 of those games we got with PS+ about 3-4 years ago. I don't really think you can hold that against them...

Seriously? The two xbox 360 games (work on Xb1 also) are excellent, high quality games, not indie generics. Killer instinct is a top tier beat em up also.
And I own both systems.
MS has been killing Sony with the free games every month for the past few months, its not even close. PS4 free games are the definition of indie tat.

Won't even bother with this- naff. Sony have to offer 'free' games to justify £40 a year for ps+. What I reckon they are doing is simply going for the cheapest option each month for something that they can say is 'decent'. So all you get is this indie stuff. Naff.

Best games in the year I've had PS+ have definitely been Resident Evil and Transformers - that's one game I've already owned multiple versions of in the past, and another that I purchased the month before it went on PS+. So, not a great year really. I've enjoyed some indie games I'd have never bought otherwise, but it's really not blown my mind. This looks like another "maybe it'll be good?" month. But I'm thinking about not renewing, as well. Will I no longer be able to play my downloaded games if I end my subscription? I still occasionally play Tricky Towers...

Firstly, some of the best games of recent years have been "side-scrollers". Inside, Limbo, Rayman Legends, OlliOlli, Steamworld Dig, Shovel Knight etc. A lot of the best games ever made have been "side-scrollers", so not sure why that's a bad thing. I mean, if you're expecting AAA titles to be part of the PS+ selection (which are a bonus to the online subscription) then what games are you actually buying? The PS4 has been out for 3 years and they aren't going to be putting any 2016 games on there and it's unlikely any 2015 games will be on there (stuff like Metal Gear Solid V, Witcher 3...). 2014 was the first year for PS4 and it wasn't a great year, so there's not actually many choices.
Saying that, I was hoping for another Resident Evil title given Resident Evil 7 is about to drop. Would have made marketing sense.
Simply wishing Sony a Merry Christmas. There's your questionable month.

What is the point of doing the same every month and hating the ones who hate?
Clearly, you are a PS+ Fan and is very difficult to have a balanced + proper conversation with people closed to the idea that other may see it differently. I remember you last month, you kept saying "If you don't play it, how would you know if you like it or not"
Man, you can finish stories in less than 2 hours and the other game was just sooooooo boring.
To me, this is another **** month but you finally recognised that "There has certainly been questionable months for PlayStation Plus" I don't think questionnable is the proper word, but I leave every fan in their own way to say things

UGH no thanks. I only use to buy ps plus for the games as i never play MP. PS3 days were awesome.... PS4 ruined the IGC. My main source of games use to be ps plus but they hardly ever have a good month anymore. And when they do put good games on its right after they were just on sale! I gave up on ps plus games long ago, i think this year ive enjoyed 2... Rebal Galaxy and Gone Home... Last year wasn't much different. Before PS4 ps plus gave us some of the best games... Take 2012. Red Dead Redemption (My favourite) Far Cry 2, Sly Racoon, NFS Shift 2, Warhammer 40K, Darksiders, Infamous 2, LBP2, Motorstorm Apocalypse, Deus Ex, Saints Row 2, Dead Space 2, Just cause 2, Borderlands, Star Hawk, Bulletstorm, RES5, Crysis 2, R&C All 4 one, Batman Arkham City, Vanquish, Mortal Kombat, Bioshock 2..... And thats just a few... 2013 was even better.... PS plus IGC now? Rubbish!! Rant over lol

Insert the "people say this joke every month" reply.
I do honestly hate the vocal minority console gamer's, it just comes across like they are far less intelligent than PC gamer's. No offence if you fall into this category, but there really is no other explanation for how you react when the PS plus games are announced. How about you educate yourselves, read some reviews, look at some gameplay you know? The normal thing's people do when they're considering buying a game, never mind getting it for 'free'. Instead of just going "OMG I've never heard of this game and it wasn't made by Activision, EA or Ubisoft so it's automatically terrible and I've made up my mind about it based on 0 facts or information". There's nothing wrong with disliking games, or having different tastes, but doing so based on absolutely nothing is just idiotic, there's no other word for it.

Me, I never go online through the PS4, except to download games of course. Very happy with this month as This War of Mine is currently sitting in my PS Store wish list so a bit of coin saved there, not that I would have bought it at the absurd £24.99 price tag.
No interest in that Tentacle rubbish though, I didn't like point and click things back in 1993 so there's no way I'm playing them in 2017.

I personally think that the dissatisfaction arises from the fact that the majority of gamers are interested in only perceived "Top Tier" games and have little interest in games which are "arty" or indie.
So even though (in my opinion) PS plus is a great service, you will always get the FIFA/Call of duty sheeple whingers.
If you do consider yourself a real gamer (for want of a better term) permit yourself to try a different experience, such as these games, rather than the bland yearly pap that you have already played a hundred times before.

I fully respect what you're saying, and I genuinley appreciate it. You do have to understand, though. I obviously don't have a problem with others having a different opinion, hell, I can't stand GTA V for example, but I don't really ever mention it as I know it's a widely popular game. I'd be suprised in fact if you've ever seen me mention it. (best example I can give right now )
Do try to understand though, (and I guess the use of 'moaning' wasn't probably the best terminology to use) that I was simply trying to get people to read the reviews for the game. I'm not stupid, I know that on the surface the titles do look a little weak in comparison to what people have expected in the past, but that was years ago. This month's PS+ is pretty damned strong*, granted I'm only familiar with a couple of them, but they're definitely worth the enterance fee to PS+*
*in my opinion.

Well you do understand it, haritori, because you've just quite simply spelled it out for me.
Although if you actually think that comment was intended to 'attack' anybody, then you're evidently too delicate. I simply suggested that everybody should go and read the reviews for the top two games. They're outstanding games, even if they aren't what the general collective would call a triple A game.
When you see me directly quoting somebody and attacking their opinions directly, then I will attempt to appreciate what you are saying here.
Don't get me wrong, I've had my moans about PlayStation Plus in the past as I've said in my original comment 'there has certainly been questionable months for PlayStation Plus. This isn't one or them.' I suppose to a degree I could have supported my comment better by using 'in my opinion' more.
I'm sorry if my comment has upset you, it was intended to direct people to look at the reviews for Day of the Tentacle and TWoM. My apologies :disappointed:

You can't even buy a pint for £3 in a lot of places these days.
Two genuinely good games (and you don't even have to agree with that, just accept that they are well reviewed because a lot of other people like them, just as I accept the same of games like FIFA and CoD), plus a couple of indie games on top.
Play them first, and if you don't like them that's fine, but don't just slate them because they're not what you wanted.

I'm happy to keep getting these solid indie games every month. And there's 3 really solid games there.
Any AAA games I really want to play I wait til they are sub 20 quid and buy a physical copy, and these indie games are a nice addition to my collection.
Despite all the "premium" titles I own, my friends and I ended up playing Tricky Towers and Sports Friends more than anything over the holiday period. And they were free games on PS+

Actually, I don't even play online really, so I have no idea why I buy it every year. Got tons of games I've never played and no matter how crap they might be, I will continue to buy ps+ without a monthly moan. Perhaps it's the online game saves feature..?

Most of the dissatisfaction probably stems from the golden PS3 days where Sony gave out a lot of top notch games which I can relate to.
PS4 is a few years old now so Sony could give out a few well-known high quality games but they won't because they're on top now and Microsoft is playing catch up. Once they fall behind again, they'll start giving out well-received titles I reckon.
Doesn't help when they've put in The Swindle to feed the flames though.

They won't make online multiplayer free since their console rival set the precedence in the first place and they're still making up lost ground.
Do what you must; I'm not going to waste any more time with further replies to you.
/s
Also, *you're.

But yes, I similarly prefer quality 'indie' games too, so we already agree!
Sorry I forgot we had Resident evil at the start of the year. That has to count as a PS4 AAA I guess
It'll be a shame if you let prejudices on indie games put you off from even trying it. I'd say it add it to the backlog and if you ever get round to it; you won't be disappointed
Joking aside I normally moan about ps+ & granted every month there isn't always something for me, but understand they need to cater for everyones tastes.
Lets hope 2017 is the ps+ AAA year!
Don't believe you haven't heard of any of these games if you actually play games but just in case you haven't, good luck with whatever you were rambling on about. Viva la revolution.
I can't handle this heat!
This is shocking! Awful news!

Day of the garbage collector is today coincidentally! Glad I didn't unwrap a PS Subscription this year!

Oh wait in all this confusion and great turmoil I think I've forgot to turn my heating on. MUST DASH!
#revolt #rebellion #riot
As for quality, Day of the Tentacle is pretty much the exact same game you remember from back in the day (that's if you are of the generation who grew up with hilarious point and click adventures) and has held up better than say Grim Fandango, imo.
Titan souls is a brilliant concept - one life, one arrow and nothing but boss battles. It has a nice retro SNES-era look but unfortunately also compares to the difficulty of games back then which I've been far too coddled from in the last twenty years. If you have the patients for tough games, you will love it.

I have no idea why people don't buy things they want in the vague hope they'll get it later for a monthly fee lol.
You're paying either way.
Titan souls platinum is quite tricky apparently.
Quite looking forward to these, if only for a cheap platinum for Titan Souls lol. Enjoyed Deadly Tower of Monsters last month
What's Titan Souls like? I've heard good things but not specifically looked at any reviews...anyone recommend?
Here's hoping we get Firewatch in the next few months...

But yeah, pretty dump month for plus members lol.
December was naff in my opinion but this month looks much better.
Day Of The Tentacle is a fantastic game and one of the best Adventure games i've ever played. So i'm actually very pleased with that.
Drag your neanderthal, trigger mashing fingers away from CoD for an hour and surprise yourself.
You love indie games great, don't slate gamers who question what their cash is paying for. I think there should be discounts for those who just use MP or DL individually. [ 2 cents ]
So it makes sense for me to not buy any game I know I won't be starting immediately, waiting for Firewatch to hit plus/gold is the sensible choice for me.
Life is too short for that.
That said, I think this month is great. What PS+ should be, is for great games that someone might not typically buy, War of Mine being a good example, its a great game.
2 out of 4 of those games we got with PS+ about 3-4 years ago. I don't really think you can hold that against them...
And I own both systems.
MS has been killing Sony with the free games every month for the past few months, its not even close. PS4 free games are the definition of indie tat.
R.I.P eye toy, move (although now has a second chance of life), vita and eventually vr.
seen it too many times now. so yes. vr games will hit PS+ because Sony will eventually stop caring about it sadly
Got burnt on Everyone Goes to The Rapture when that came out.
Saying that, I was hoping for another Resident Evil title given Resident Evil 7 is about to drop. Would have made marketing sense.
Simply wishing Sony a Merry Christmas. There's your questionable month.
Have you just re-worded an earlier comment.
Don't give me crap about giving my opinion and then produce your own. As was the earlier comment. It's hypocritical.
FYI; I don't currently have a PlayStation 4 until a Pro deal arrives. So sadly, and even though it dents your theory. I'm an Xbox owner.
Sony's Janaury games beat Microsofts. I own both systems.
I thought Killer Instant was F2P.
CRAP.
All I see is the free tat they give away as a bonus to paying a subscription.

I'd rather the games I listed than the ones you did, especially since the ones I listed were actually in the PS4 lineup.
The idea of one of the platfroms "killing it each month" is completely subjective.
my ps+ has set me back approx. £1.50 a month and for that I get 4 interesting games including one I definitely would've bought at some point.
I genuinely have no idea what games would make some people happy

No interest in that Tentacle rubbish though, I didn't like point and click things back in 1993 so there's no way I'm playing them in 2017.
Sods law that I already have them though, guess thats the problem with really good games.
(Hope you had a great Christmas :smirk:)
Who buys ps+ for game downloads? You should know what sort of thing *in general* you'll be getting; you pay for it to play online. The games are a bonus, simple as that
I do not care if you attempt to appreciate what I am saying..
Kids these days wont understand that this was amazing back in the day  It's not all about GTA, COD etc!!
My apologies :disappointed:
why is it OK for people to say its a great deal, but not to have an opinion for the opposite? and if they do they are slammed for having that opinion.
More and more I see you attacking those with opposing opinions to what YOU would consider to be good games.
Plus it was good when stuff blew up.
Of course, there have been months where I haven't really enjoyed the games I've tried, but the service isn't designed just for me
I'll be well chuffed if BlazeRush turns out to be a sneaky PS4 title too. Won't cry if not though, in the sale too.
But yeah, I doubt anyone is paying just for the games anymore.
They probably whipped ass with the bat from this crappy baseball game they gave away. Each service has good and bad months.
I know this is an unpopular opinion but I'd much rather have a new and different experience with an 'indie' title than something generic like Knack or Watch_dogs, which could be bought for £5.00 from CEX if I really wanted them. Just my personal opinion.
Heat from me OP.
I don't know why they bother, another awful month.
That and Titan Souls make this month a winner for £3.50 odd.
Titan souls and the swindle are fantastic, and I've always been interested in this war of mine.
Great month for me
And no one has asked for a game with below average gameplay.... Don't mention Killlzone and Knack, no one really wants them.
Very pleased.
Who actually buys PS Plus for the games rather than the ability to play online?
I strongly suggest you go read reviews for the top two games alone. Both have overwhelming reviews on Steam. It's a great month for actual gamers.
I'll never understand it, if you want AAA titles with fancy graphics and below average gameplay, then go out and buy them.
There has certainly been questionable months for PlayStation Plus. This isn't one or them. Cheers OP, looking forward to Titan Souls on the Vita. Heated
Although I was expecting at least one big title this month...
I guess being so far ahead in sales has caused a fair bit of complacency when It come to plus titles... when they felt Xbox was competition the plus titles were amazing
As someone who can't play VR games though, I'm not fussed. :P
