I'm in a roll with Philips Hue deals. Another 40% off deal for the White and Colour Ambiance E27 bulb. Don't know if it includes the B22. £20 off RRP is a good deal for these.
That's because you can only see things properly after you've bought these magic bulbs

Hi, where's the best place to buy a colour bulb from now? Thanks

Smart switches are the way to go as you want to still be able to use the wall switch too. With these if you turn it off at the wall switch you can't use your phone to turn them on

Or via an Echo dot. Set centrally in the house we can control all our lights very easily and without hunting for the phone.

I understand the nuances of the statement. Printers are another similar item that have been stated as not being thought of as being well secured but that wouldn't be a reason for not voting on a printer thread.
If you were that bothered you could quite easily segregate the lights away from your home network, meaning that the worst an attacker could do is turn your lights off, and as they utilise zigbee, they would have to be very close.

It certainly raised a laugh. The speaker wasn't knocking net-enabled products, but he was making a serious point, viz., that very often security is the last thing appliance designers think about, and it's not always a strong asset in their skill set.

I was at an internet-of-things security seminar a while back, and heard about someone who, after a vulnerability had been identified and patched, had to spend four hours updating the firmware in his lightbulbs....
