Another lightning deal for these bulbs. Says prime only but that may just be the early access. Looks to be linked to the E27 figment but could possibly include B22. Grab yourself 40% / £20 off the RRP of these bulbs while you can.

no it's easy look up energenie on amazon mihome stuff it's has Alexa skill and full Google home and iOS support now is alot cheaper
Can Control By Phone vs Cheap Remote (So can remote control when away from home)
800Lm vs 550Lm (Philips is Brighter)
Can Control with Alexa/IFTTT so can have them do random switch on when on holiday.
You are basically comparing a smart bulb to one that changes colour. Now whether you feel it is worth it is entirely up to you.

couple of Hue questions:
has the Richer Colours E27 or B22 starter kit (bridge + 3 bulbs) ever gone under £137.95 that Camel says? (I know sometimes they miss out on flash sales or Black Fridays/Amazon Day deals)
is there much difference between the Hue Richer Colours and the White Ambiance bulbs, talking about the white colour range/performance only?

I'm finding that when i switch off my living room lamp with the dimmer remote control, it also switches off upstairs bedroom too which is pretty annoying. Any way around this?

Programme dimmer with app- to control selected lamps/room- hue app; setting: accessory set up-find dimmer used/names- scroll down set room-- google "Philips hue dimmer switch programming"

Great price. I got the dimmer with a bulb last week, this will finish off the downstairs of the house nicely. Next I want the white ambience bulbs for the bedrooms.

Can't find E27 lamp fittings anywhere! Can't use the adaptors as the fittings I have are the push in eco bulb fittings. Any advice?

Deal doesn't seem to apply to B22, the one Amazon did last week did.
I bought the starter pack yesterday and it's all working well except for widgets notification on my phone with 4g. Logged into the hue account and can control the lights remotely without wifi but not from the widget notification screen

As great a price these have all been lately I still think lifx is better. No bridge for a start.
Can get them for around 35 to 40 if you look.

Yeah I've looked into smart switches, it's doable, but difficult in the UK because of the way our houses are wired (no dual line) so involves rewiring the switches, so won't be cheap!

Both energenie and LightwaveRF switches are fully compatible with the UK wiring..

Will this work if I start the 30 day Prime trial? Or do you need a pre-existing, paid for Prime account?

Found it on the app, thanks!
It's weird, though. The Lighting category appears in the app, but not on the website...

I know it has not started yet. My question is where to find the info about the upcoming deal. I looked at the entire list of today's deal but I could not find any mentions about Philips Hue

May I ask how did you find this deal? I am a prime member, but I could not see it anywhere.
I guess I am missing something or looking at the wrong place?

I can never seem to find it through the website but if you use the Amazon app and narrow search through lighting department.

Thanks OP, good spot. It hasn't been a great year for Hue lightning deals so far, still hoping for a sub £80 starter set as we have seen before.

I would imagine they price them depending on how well they sell. And maybe they are selling better at higher prices because of echo and dot. I still think they are crazy prices for what is essentially a light bulb.

I'm holding out for this too... All I need is a starter kit with the new bridge and 3 richer colours bulbs and that's my whole house done. The deals last year were much better. Here's hoping!

Thanks I'll look into it. All my light fittings have 3 sockets. Smart bulbs would cost a fortune.

It's there a way to replace light switches with a smart system instead of bulbs. Would be far cheaper for me.
