I couldn't be bothered claiming £3.50 so I didn't.

So, I've just used their site to bet my original winnings - which I think I paid 99p for so I'm not that bothered - on another big lottery.

You never know.

On an unrelated note, does anyone know what a lot of 99 pences add up to?

First time I've been caught out by something like this! £3 cash advance fee from my credit card company. So all my winnings were wiped out.

Just had a reply saying that the offer had expired when I purchased it.
This despite it being 99p in my basket and during submission.

I have complained further but guess I am wasting my time.
Won't be using these clowns again.
I am tempted to go through my bank to prove a point but for the £5.11 hardly seems worth the effort.

Just be careful you don't pay with your credit card.......as your credit card company is likely to consider it a cash transaction, and charge you in essence a withdrawal fee (Santander did to me).

Please don't give the bank details to that site. they will take money from your account with out informing you . I have asked them to stop and they did not , saying that it was given in the terms and conditions. So I had to call my bank to instruct them not to pay any more money to this site.
So please be aware of this before signing for it.

I guarantee that the majority of you did the same thing I did. I was up by about £5-£6, went to withdraw, thought it was too much effort to go through (ie couldn't be bothered uploading proof) and then proceeded to lose it all by spending my winnings on more scratchcards. Funny how they don't require proof to play and take my money, but they do when it comes to withdrawing it...

I'm not great at math yet they've calculated it as having 40,043 chances to win ranging from Tier 1 to Tier 10 in prizes.. so not sure if that still reflects 51.1% as most of those prizes are £0.10 23,500 x £0.10 = £2350.. if they sell 160,000 cards they're in region of £32,000 to £40,000 tally up rest of the tiers and sure it doesn't reflect 48.1% return

Raid the Piggy Bank:

Tier 1 1x £2,500.00
Tier 2 2x £500.00
Tier 3 5x £200.00
Tier 4 10x £100.00
Tier 5 50x £10.00
Tier 6 175x £5.00
Tier 7 800x £2.00
Tier 8 3,750x £1.00
Tier 9 11,750x £0.50
Tier 10 23,500x £0.10

Number of Cards: 160,000

17 Dec 16 #451
Does Lottoland allow you to create multiple accounts for the deal, like how Sainsbury does for the new customer discount?
GlentoranMark
17 Dec 16 #450
Is there a minimum withdrawal for this site? Most sites do and is usually around £10.

So the vast majority will win <£10 and have no option but to reinvest their winnings in the hope to win bigger and the vast majority of these will end up losing due to the rubbish odds given. It's only £1 but the more I think about this offer, the more I'm against it.

Good luck though. If I won <£10 (and I won't take part in this) then I'd just leave my money on the site in the hope that Lottoland would send me similar deals in future (which all sites usually do to incentivise you back into playing). Beware though on the dead mans tax that a lot of these sites do - they start taking 10% of your cash after 6 months of inactivity.
GlentoranMark
17 Dec 16 #449
Comment #433 although I only calculated it for 1 Euromillions draw. I wouldn't expect this deal is worth any more than a free £1.

SC84
17 Dec 16 #434
I won £2.10.
GlentoranMark
17 Dec 16 #433
I posted a question on Ask about the maths but I done them myself and I was wrong. This deal is +EV for the HUKD'er.

I'm surprised no-one has came up with the odds. It was easier than I thought, hope I got the maths correct.

If anything I'm pro gambling. I do a bit of matched betting but I make most of my pocket money from online poker and I know how gambling sites make their money (they offer unfair odds.)

The odds of getting a prize in the Euromillions are 13/1 so the average HUKD'er will win 7.5p (Horrible odds btw and reason enough to steer clear of Euromillions)

Raid the Piggy Bank if you were to buy 10 + 5 Scratch cards, the best value to buy 15 scratch cards = £3.60.

Average payout is 51.1% which means the average HUKD'er will win £1.84 from the scratch cards (again horrible odds but still better than the Euromillions.)

The prize draw has almost no value so I won't count it.

In total the average HUKD'er will profit +91p. Not life changing money nor something that should go mega hot but it is value and I was wrong with my assumption.

What annoys me is people take these deals without thinking. Ignore the winners because all gambling sites thrive on a small minority to win and if you do take this deal then don't deposit any more into Lottoland ever again.

Dear LewisB:

I have been requested by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company to contact you for assistance in resolving a matter. The Nigerian National Petroleum Company has recently concluded a large number of contracts for oil exploration in the sub-Sahara region. The contracts have immediately produced moneys equalling US$40,000,000. The Nigerian National Petroleum Company is desirous of oil exploration in other parts of the world, however, because of certain regulations of the Nigerian Government, it is unable to move these funds to another region.

You assistance is requested as a non-Nigerian citizen to assist the Nigerian National Petroleum Company, and also the Central Bank of Nigeria, in moving these funds out of Nigeria. If the funds can be transferred to your name, in your United Kingdom account, then you can forward the funds as directed by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company. In exchange for your accommodating services, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company would agree to allow you to retain 10%, or US$4 million of this amount.

However, to be a legitimate transferee of these moneys according to Nigerian law, you must presently be a depositor of at least UK£2500.70 in a Nigerian bank which is regulated by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

If it will be possible for you to assist us, we would be most grateful. We suggest that you meet with us in person in Lagos, and that during your visit I introduce you to the representatives of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company, as well as with certain officials of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Please call me at your earliest convenience at 18-467-4975. Time is of the essence in this matter; very quickly the Nigerian Government will realize that the Central Bank is maintaining this amount on deposit, and attempt to levy certain depository taxes on it.

Yours truly,

Me

For those that have asked or are unaware you can choose your own lottery numbers by clicking on individual ticket whilst it's in cart area.. simply click edit then unsheild numbers and manually select your own plus can change draw date etc. but as is noted on their website no ticket is being officially purchased merely mirrored

"This website is operated by Lottoland. Lottoland passes on Customer’s Bets to EU Lotto, which is acting as a bookmaker. When placing Bets, Lottoland acts in the name and on behalf of the Customer.

Lottoland is not an official lottery operator and does not buy any lottery tickets on your behalf. Instead, Lottoland allows you to make bets on different lotteries. If you win any bets, then you get paid directly by Lottoland and not the official lottery operator. Lottoland pays you the same prize money — including the Jackpot amount — that any operator pay for their lottery draws.

EU Lotto Ltd is licensed and regulated by the Gambling Commission for customers in Great Britain (Licence: 000-038991-R-319408-002). It is also licensed by the Government of Gibraltar and regulated by the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner (RGL 085 & 066). Shopping Cart - Lottoland UK "

Plus I wonder how the winning scratch cards are distributed?, Tier 1 prize has already been claimed by LewisB making it impossible for the rest of us to win £2,500 for just £0.25 so now falls foul of being unfair & misleading advertising? It's digital so capable of tracking/recording/revealing real-time prizes that are left to be won o_0

Raid the Piggy Bank:

Tier 1 1x £2,500.00
Tier 2 2x £500.00
Tier 3 5x £200.00
Tier 4 10x £100.00
Tier 5 50x £10.00
Tier 6 175x £5.00
Tier 7 800x £2.00
Tier 8 3,750x £1.00
Tier 9 11,750x £0.50
Tier 10 23,500x £0.10

Number of Cards: 160,000

Lottoland's .co.uk domain has over half a million vistors every month as well as having 8 other regional domains such as .com recieving well over 2 million vistors per month hosting same scratch card games so wonder if they're seperate or shared?

As I understand, it's entirely independent of the National Lottery. You are using a gambling site which mirrors the outcome of the lottery, but does not pay into it and does not receive winnings from the lottery either. Most winnings will be covered by the deposits of its users as the odds (with scratchcards at least) are in the company's favour. Should someone actually get the same numbers as the Euromillions draw, the company relies on insurance to make the payout.

How can they afford to enter Euromillions for such a small fee? Are we being formally entered into the official draw or is there technically something else going on which means it's not as official as we think?

What about booze?
Or food?
Or motorbikes?

Gambling is something many people have a problem with.
Many people have similar problems with other things.

We haven't banned peanuts, despite them being deadly for some people.

Also, in reality most things in life are a gamble... "Do I go and talk to the hot girl at the bar"... risk vs reward. Do I take out fully comp insurance ot just TPFT?... you're assessing the risk of spending money now to be better off in the future depending on the outcome of random events.

Gambling and quidco are not the same as quidco dont take your house or wreck family life or make you commit suicide gambling does.
I just think gambling adverts and loans should be more controlled than they are at present.

16 Dec 16 #341
Why ban gambling deals? Why not ban references to Quidco? that's a lottery after all. This is a site for posting deals (the clue is in the name). If this price is cheaper than the norm, it's a deal. Nobody is forcing anyone to take it up.

15 likes for your post, *groan* - cancel your life insurance, car insurance, house insurance and pension. Stay away from stocks and shares and don't cross the road. In fact climb under your bed in case you get hit by an asteroid - oh wait the odds of getting hit by an asteroid must be around 15 million to 1 per year. Gambling is all around us and there's nothing wrong with a little flutter.

I have other points on this deal (and I think this is a bad deal) but it annoys me when some people (those 15 likes) will vote cold without giving a reason.

That's OK though, it was my greed that led me to chase the big money, and spending 99p did at least let me scratch the face off some pigs.

Here is what I did as a new customer:

Sign up via TCB - was offered 20% off scratchcards
Looked for £10.01 or more after discount on scratchcards - 10 Full bloom for £10.80 - paid by Debit Card
'Won' £9 on these cards - £1.80 lost to hopefully get £17.25 TCB
Came back here, clicked on get deal, all items added to basket & clicked checkout - now £8.01 credit.
'Won' £1.70 on the scratchcards in this deal - now £9.71 credit.
TCB has already tracked, but only £11.50.

Obviously results will vary

My current situation is £11.50 TCB plus a few lottery tickets plus £9.71 credit for £10.80
Worst case scenario for anyone following what I did £10.80 loss.
Expected scenario with absolutely no return from bets if cashback happens £6.45 profit (£17.25 - £10.80)

Not true check the gambling commissions website and online , there is no requirement for them to hold this info and as they are accepting credit card payments without it . That is the reason I got my money off of them because they had no legal requirement to have that info. But you go ahead and allow them that info ,your choice.

I deleted my card details as soon as I had made my £1 deposit. I take your point though. I would also say never bet more than you are prepared to lose. All gambling sites are designed with only one winner and that's them.

Interestingly Amazon now require similar information if you want to be a rmarketplace seller on their site. I stopped selling on Amazon as I wasn't prepared to send them a copy of my passport.

You will have the same issue with any gambling site as they need to request this info to stop their sites being used for credit card fraud/ money laundering. This is fairly standard practice in this industry and am actually surprised you received anything after 3 months if you failed to provide this info.

Wait until you try to get your money off of them , I won £11 on the lottery and it took me 3 months back forth emailing and the threat of complaining to the gambling commission to get it. I had a big problem with the fact they want copies of sensitive information , remember this is an offshore ,(in Gibraltar),company already holding your credit card or bank details then wanting such things as passport , driving licence etc , are you all mad identity theft is rife nowadays. Also there is no legal requirement under anti money laundering laws for them to ask for this info , that is B/S. I see no reason why a gambling company would want or need such further information when they are quite happy to take as much money as you are prepared to gamble without any I.D.such as passports , driving licences etc. Be careful people.
