Great organised free events to get you up out of bed on a Saturday. I went regularly until I injured my (already shakey) achillies while chasing down 1st place at the Gnoll Parkrun :disappointed:

I envy those people who can run, really envy them, I'm agoraphobic which means I'm not house bound but I struggle to live everyday like what you'd term a normal person does, anyway aerobic exercise creates new brain neurons >
I plan to exercise as much as possible and maybe this neurogenesis will enable me to start running, and once I start I won't ever stop believe me.

If the urge to do this madness ever did strike me, I have a watch and parks are free to get in, so don't really see the freebie in this  fruit loops, the lot of you, but good luck to ya

Don't forget the free milestone t-shirts! Juniors get a white one after 10 runs, then it's red for 50, black for 100 and green for 250 runs for everyone. They're good quality, provided by Tribesports, all you have to pay is a couple of quid P&P. There's also a purple one for volunteering 25 times.

I started in my local park in January. it's been really good. children have their own runs but can join in the adult ones if supervised. there's old, young, dogs even babies being pushed in buggies that take part. fun experience
