Maybe of little relevance but I had the UMI Super for a while and loved it, build quality was spot on, battery lasted for ever, vanilla android. Worst aspect was camera but that was just adequate as opposed to terrible.

So at this price I'd be inclined to give this a try.

Seems like a lot of phone for very little money. Still available for $59.99 on the site with 20-40 days delivery to UK. All the main bands seem present in terms of 4g and yes Aliexpress hold on to your money until the item arrives and you check it works.

Bargain at 50 quid for the specs...company seems to be making some pretty decent phones plus this is supposed to be strong and can survive drops from up to 1.5 meters. There is a video demonstrating that too!

After reading this post my hubby purchased one of these,but hes struggling to transfer music from laptop to it.When connected to laptop,he swipes the screen and clicks on transfer files but then the phone just goes back to home screen.Anyone please help? because can't find any info anywhere how to do it.

Hi when connected to laptop it doesnt show up when we try to sync the phone,normally on left hand side of media player it shows your device thats connected but for this phone it doesnt so you cant drag and drop because theres nothingbto drag and drop it to.Plus we are not the most technical minded.

where are folks getting this at this price ? I presume it has went up in price .

My bad, schoolboy error, there is a tape on the battery which needs to be removed, powered on a beautiful phone. I now need case. :smiley: am pleased with the phone.

4G does not work, i am with giffgaff. It's a 16gb phone only 11gb available to use. Would android use so much memory for their operating system? It's saying I am only suing 389 mb. A very nice phone for the price, indeed. It updated too.

Which slot have you got the 4G card in - think only slot 1 does 4G? Weird the 2 slots are different sizes

Am on 3 which works fine - not sure which freq O2 4G band works on.....

In your notification does it then say 4G ? O2 uses 800 Mhz (Bad 20) the phone seems to support all bands. 4G: LTE FDD: 800 /1800/2100/2600 MHz

​it does show 4G on Vodafone slot 1. Every now & then, it switches to 3G and then back to 4G. must be 4G reception where I am.

Is your 4g still working? Just upgrading my sim to 3 but it's showing 3G. Did network reset still no luck. Also when trying to find the network manually it only shows 3 3G?

The 4g comes and goes, I think its the network signal.

My hubby had an Umi diamond x but had it from Laptopsdirect because couldn't wait for one from the company on this thread.He got the phone really quick but then never really used it and its been stuck in the drawer(dont know why he had one in the 1st place)Anyway,he had to make a couple of calls this week and each one he made,the recipient put the phone down because they couldn't hear him.He rang me to try it and i couldn't hear him at all.He's had it since Dec 9th.I got in touch with laptopsdirect and they responded saying you need to contact Umi and gave us a phone number,which i know for a fact that your warranty is with the seller, but i rang the number anyway and it turned out to be the completely wrong company being Umidigital instead of UMidigi.So i got back in touch with LDand the latest is,i've got to return it at my own cost which will be £7.25,surely i am not liable for this?Anyway,i certainly wont be dealing with this company again!
