Not exactly a deal but I'm posting here because I've missed out on stock at other retailers in recent hukd posts and Amazon report they'll have stock on 13th December

Not exactly a deal is right. Still, decent heads up.

I dont want to pay the inflated prices but to replace my Nexus 7 2013, I may not have a choice.

Great tablet, the older version of this was better, but still the closest thing to a Nexus replacement you'll get

these are great at this price - they are able to heat your entire house! What was the older version? I do recall that these were excellent when bought as they also got so hot they could heat your flat! Or even a small house...

How is it 4K Ready when the resoltuion is 1920 x 1200? It suggests it could output to 4k on another device but it's not going to play any proper games at that resolution is it?

Maybe it can playback 4K videos on a TV?

Yeah for 4k connect it up to your tv first then it turns the screen of on the tablet and will output in 4k

Amazon are taking reservations. They say they are due back in stock on 16th December.

the older version came in 16gb WiFi or 32GB 4G
they also both came with a stylus and a charger (which are £20 each from the Nvidia store)
16GB storage isn't an issue, as you can merge SD storage with them
also the casing on the new one is slightly different, with better speakers, but I felt the new one was slightly worse in terms of build quality
however, a terrific tablet for £170, considering I paid £280 for my 32GB one

Just started looking into nvidia shield but cant see why they are so expensive. I could buy a xbox one or ps4 with a bit more money. What am i missing apart from the portability, but surely the consoles have more titles can stream etc.

It's a gaming tablet not a bleedin' console so very different.

Pretty sure the Pixel C has a better processor, x1 is it, same that's in the nvidia shield TV. Nvidia Shield K1 well has the K1 processor.

Yes it does but the Pixel C is nearly 3 times the price.
