If you have a time machine, go back to when they were cheaper and pick me up three. It not, then stop going on about deals you CANNOT GET RIGHT NOW!

What's the point waiting for Nintendo Switch, apart from the Hardware Manufacturer they are completely different.
One is an Android Tablet, an extremely decent one at that whilst the other is a Games Console From Nintendo. And its been a categorical No that it will run a Fork of Android

Actually it's not a bad point, I might not have bought a K1 if I'd known about the Switch earlier.

Thanks, ordered one as a gift. Shame there's no discount, but they seem to be in short supply, so figured it was best to grab one now.

I've got a nexus 10 which I mainly use for watching media or browsing the net but I've been waiting for something better for a reasonable price since (with everything falling short in my opinion). Considering taking the plunge but reading the reviews on this, from 2015, the rrp was £150

Voted hot as there is stock.
Brexit and inflation though (+ demand)!

I bought one of these on the last deal at £153. Having now used it, I'd happily pay £170 for it. Far better than my Nexus 7 which I paid £180 for a few years back. Quick, decent screen, expandible memory, nearly stock android...

Bought this on the last deal for £150ish, great tablet - actually sold a Samsung galaxy tab 4 10in to get it and far prefer this, got more for the tab 4 second hand than I paid for this brand new too.. People go crazy for Samsung and Apple products second hand

I'm lost as to why this is a good deal in the current marketplace - an 8" tablet for £170 - erm - erm??
OK - I get the resolution (but I fail to see why you need it) and the nVidia streaming is novel (abeit not really that useful?) but otherwise I'm wondering why any of the £100-120 8 or even 10" tablets out there isn't a better buy?

wow, would take u less time to read a review to understand why this is a desired tablet than to write what you did. two words .. gaming tablet. hot given only place I could find to buy in last month was PCspecialist at £190 or ebay

Brexit hadn't happened yet. It's just an excuse for retailers to hike prices.

Its American based product, the pound against the dollar got weak. Which reflects everything imported from the US to UK becoming more expensive, Apple products, Nvidia products, Intel CPU's. Peoples vote effected our currency and this is the result.

only place I found in stock other than eBay was PCspecialist but at £190 which I paid to replace my nexus 10 for gaming. the processing power and clean android should mean good for browsing and entertainment including. kodi. overkill perhaps but for the price good value
Hopelessness
6 Dec 16#39
These are priced in Dollars, then imported to the UK. The GBP has suffered a blow since the Brexit vote, ergo prices of imported goods go up regardless of retailer. Look forward to this happening across the board once pre-vote inventory dries up.

If you're thinking Android games you may be missing the point of this device. The best feature is that it can stream your Steam library over wi-fi - so in answer to your question: anything good that is in your Steam library

"Gaming tablet" - what the hell is is "gaming tablet"
If we're talking native games - erm - Clash of Clans is not exactly system intensive and, like most other mobile games, spending money in iAPs would get you further than on the device itself ;0
Streaming games - this is something I've looked into a LOT and - frankly - I think it's 99% pointless, it just doesn't work. I've used nVidia's solution, Steam's own solutions and even the third-party one (Limelight/Moonlight?) and they're all WAY too limited and the lag is unavoidable. I can maybe grasp someone throwing Civ onto a big TV but I'm lost what you'd want to put onto an 8" wifi (in itself a massive issue) tablet when you have a gaming PC setup!?
Yes, I get that's my problem but I don't believe "gaming tablet" is a thing and I remain mystified at the 'value' of this deal (this is a deals site, not a "cool things in stock somewhere" site)??

Mate.. Read before ranting .. Plenty of reviews to explain why its good value. Who said it could be compared to a gaming pc.. Don't recall that. Nor necessarily was it only for streaming.. The main game I got it for is World of Tanks blitz.. A game designed for mobiles and tablets..
