There's a reason it's only selling for £15. All of the games have aged horribly and the gimmicky USP is old and boring. A good deal if there are a couple of games you have in mind but I wouldn't bother otherwise.

Plus it's not even a bad console. People that want to think of themselves as "hardcore gamers" feel the need to talk it down but even without the mods and emulator potential there are still at least 10 games from each of the Gamecube and the Wii era which are among the best in their genre.

£15 is an absolute steal. This is likely the older wiis which are backwards compatible with gamecube games and can easily be jail broken to install emulators such the N64 etc and be a video player. If all else fails going back and playing classics like Mario kart and Zedla... or even MGS twin snakes make it worth it alone!

This console wasn't aimed at "The younger generation", it was just aimed at people who wanted to have fun playing games. You don't need to be a child to enjoy playing Super Mario Galaxy, the Zelda games Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, New Super Mario Bros, the Metroid Trilogy, or Xenoblade Chronicles, you just need to be open to playing very good games.

I was playing MarioKart just a couple of weeks ago with a few other ‘adults’ (physically, admittedly not always mentally), we were having a great time with that and a few drinks. I own one, and no child has ever been near it! Multiple people in their 20s and 30s have used and loved it though – we used to have tennis tournaments, epic drunken danceoffs (once a houseparty of 20 people totally forgot to go out to the festival we got together for, we were having too much fun), and soooo much MarioKart, and my ex would tease me mercilessly about my terrible Guitar Hero abilities while him and his brother showed off.

Can't even recommend it for homebrew either, since we all have many devices now that can do it but much better than this.
Half agree. After seeing emulation on HD devices then yeh, going back to 480p kinda sucks. But for the ease of hacking as well as price and user-friendly input devices, the Wii kinda wins
HD outputs? What? You mean component? GameCube had that too.
The Racing edition is terrible and repetitive. Don't get that. Maybe only for Bowser and Clown Cruiser.
Technically HD? That's SD.
Also try Ebay, they are going for around £30- £50 but some have a few games included and extra wiimotes/nunchuks.
Wii looks great with the Wii2HDMI adapter and for people who's TVs no longer have component support this is the way to go.
I'm going to set up my emuNAND this weekend so I can install VC games without it using my sysNAND.
I just need to get the GC side of it to work now, I need to get an official controller from somewhere!
I want to do what ever you said but don't know how can you please tell me as I am new and don't want to buy games thanks
I don't see you giving any form of contribution to this thread.
Xbox one S will gather dust for few days now !
