Yep I also got £56.33 and not the £65 as advertised on Quidco...

I will wait a few days for my Sim to arrive and fully activated and then see what happens. If nothing, then I'll contact Quidco saying I got the wrong cashback amount.

I was on the 4GB data, unlimited mins, unlimited texts with feel at home etc & tethering on a 1 month rolling contact with Three for £13/month (as a special offer) waiting for a deal like this as I use data more than minutes. I now have 30GB data, 200 mins, unlimited texts for £15/month on a 12 month contract with feel at home and tethering.

I phoned them direct to ask to change to this deal and they also gave me 3 months free! So effectively £11.25/month over 12 months. Very happy.

Wow...it finally worked!!

Contacted them today and said that some random person got a better deal that for some reason they can`t show us (not the ones who have shown the deal they got ) and they agreed to match it plus I get to take the CEO`s wife out for lunch and she`s paying! On top of that he told me she`ll be wearing a sexy little xmas number only for me!

As I expected, the only deals available are whats already there!

Would like someone to actually prove they're getting the £45 back after 3 months on the £15/£18 deals.

I spoke to 3 different advisors, ALL said there was no money back on these deals as you're already saving from the original prices.

I have gone through the mobilephonesdirect offer.

I'd be surprised if they're giving different information to everyone.

4 Dec 16 #222
Nope. Last I read plans were delayed because of the risk of people buying sims from abroad and perma-roaming if tariffs in neighbouring countries were cheaper than at home. A lot of the European carriers were up in arms about the draft roaming plans.

Isn't it the case that from July next year, *all* plans will be Europe-wide due to new regulations?
skoupidia22
4 Dec 16 #220
No there is not. I travel through all of Europe for work and can tell you only Italian Vodafone and one German company offer all inclusive calls and data roaming for €45-50 respectively but...be careful as I found out 3mobile is only for 60 days in a 12 month period and if you go over twice you can not only not be able to renew, they will cut out you number usage outside UK basically leaving you stranded with a dead phone. No you can't pay any amount to add-on!!! or reactivate. The agent advised me to get 2-3 more 3mobile Sims and use them for data roaming on a double sim phone. Cool but it defies the fact that all Sims are registered to same user, roaming, going over 12GB so why not just sell more data on same number, Duhhhhhh! EOR

Need more minutes so I went for BT Sim only plan unlimited minutes, text and 30gb data inluding tethering for £25 month 12 months contract. They use EE's network so hoping I would get a reliable service as I did with EE.

Any suggestion anyone I have 14 days cooling off period?

Been with them for 2 years at the end of this, direct debit so how can you miss a payment (?).

Thanks for your concern. I know 3 months free its not part for the advertised deal. I got them to repeat it twice whilst on the phone, and I will check. Perhaps its all in the approach, telephone manner, or the number of years and missed payments that you have with them.

Same here. They're disgusting with their customers tbh. Always have been. They've always been interested in big time money from "new" people. whats so ironic...Iv got 20Gb data with BT!!. besides the point was on AYCE myself and lots of others had been with them for years and years.

in the long run, I'm happy to have made the switch. 4G and reception quality in general has been superior to what i got with Three. Plus a better suite of mobile apps and probably superior access to wifi hotspots. all for £1 more per month. gives me more haggling power to further discount my BT infinity 2 aswell.

Good deal, but still happy with what I got on Monday - U/L Data & texts, 200 min, feel at home & 30GB tethering. £24 with 3 months free & £82.50 TCB (actually tracked at £77) - if the cashback pays (even £77), it is less than £12 a month!

Only thing is I found the data (East Belfast) was pathetic (or maybe that was just the My3 site).

After being dumped off the original AYCE tariff I've since had to uplift to 8GB (with 600 Minutes) @ £19 a month.

I signed up to a 12 month sim only retention deal at the end of June.

They offered me 4GB of data with Unlimited Mins for £9 per month. Then a few weeks ago that's when I did the online web chat. I only use about 30 mins a month.
omarmahmood
3 Dec 16 #184
Yeh I rang up earlier and was offered 200 mins, unlimited text, 30gb data, tethering hotpot and calls when abroad for £15 per month.

They said pay for the 1st 3 months (£45) then we will credit your account with £45 so in essence your paying for 9 months over 12.

9 x £15 = £135

£135 ÷ 12 = £11.25

So this deal is cheaper. The guy made it out as though it was an "Xmas deal" lol

Their data speeds and signal availability is pathetic.

Current speed test on mine right now shows just below 2mb download 17mb upload. My mate sat next to me on EE is getting 29mb download.

On top of that I can hardly get a signal anywhere even for calls.

I have an old 3g sim here which is now faster than their 4g. I can't wait to get away from them.

I've been a 3 customer for 6 years now, whats the best way to take advantage of this offer (£15 for 30gb 12mth) while keeping my number. Could i be cheeky and get the quidco somehow too?

I guess i have to transfer my current number to PAYG, cancel current contract (£16 8gb data 1mth), sign up for new contract and port old number from PAYG to new contract?
Is it worth the risk/hassle for £50 or is there an easier way to do it?

anyone was able to get better deal then this?

AYCE, 200mins, unlimited text, 30gb tethering = £24

You mention about them not being loyal to AYCE customers then mention you have a better deal from BT, yet BT don't offer AYCE Data....oh the irony.
preecey
3 Dec 16 #166
BT uses EE.

EE and Three share each other's 3G networks in the vast majority of cases thanks to their MBNL network sharing arrangement.

Basically, if you have a good 3G signal from EE/BT, you'll get a good signal from Three. It also works the other way round.

They don't share each other's 4G networks, however. These are separately managed, however in some cases Three does use the same masts as EE for their 4G coverage but the equipment is different.

In short; Three and EE/BT are almost identical in terms of 3G coverage. EE has a much larger 4G network, Three not so much.

Speeds-wise on 3G they will generally be similar. On 4G though EE is nearly always faster. That doesn't mean Three's a slouch, you can still obtain speeds on Three's 4G network of around 20-30Mbps depending on where you are. EE typically, from my experience, tops around 60-70Mbps. Sometimes I've seen 100Mbps+ on EE.

Three lost me totally when they stopped my PAYG One Plan. It was the way they did it that got right up my nose - the timing gave me just two days to find another deal or I would have effectively been signed-up to a year with Three at £30 per month. I consider that to be tantamount to blackmail and as such I'm very happy to to be with them anymore. Currently paying £14.50 for 32Gb with EE.

No need to be so rude, especially when you are WRONG. It's only a 12GB limit for AYCE data customers. If you have 30GB data, you can use ALL of it abroad.
bma1445
3 Dec 16 #138
Yep, I left them (2 lines, phone and iPad) and moved to Vodafone, after they jacked up my one plan to £30.

All deals deals kind of show that Three were wrong, and obviously lost a lot of customers.

I used the online web chat last week to be cheeky and ask if they could add some more data on my plan because the 4GB I had was being used up within a few weeks. The agent then offered me 200 Mins, Unlimited Texts and 30 GB of data for £8 a month. I nearly fell of my chair.... I didn't stop to think about it...... Yes Please Go ahead I said!!!

Thats not bad.

I just took out the same plan for £30 (£55 quidco + the 3 months free) works out at £17 something a month.

I keep changing networks every 12 months, retentions teams in EE, BT, 3, O2 who i've been with before this had never offered me anything better than i was already paying. I am so confused as to how people get any money off at all at the time of contract renewal, i never ever do. But fingers crossed come December 2017 that 3 will want to keep me this time around!.

Are they removing my tariff???

Currently I pay £18 a month and get:
200mins
Unlimited Texts
Unlimited Data
Home from abroad
(Plus home from abroad is limited to around 12gig a month, no hotspot abroad but can do around 4gb for free)

Just seems they moving away from Unlimited data to capping at 30gb!?
Maybe when 4K streaming and all these streaming sites become popular we will all get butt hurt once again on bills!?

Just need to know if I need to be looking at new contract or not. I haven't got a letter yet, but doesn't stop them saying one was sent!

I get unlimited everything, bar tethering, which is 12GB, for £20, used to be £14. 4G anywhere at home was better than my Virgin media WiFi, but recently they started some maintenance work in the area and the speed's been rubbish indoor and outdoors for about a good 2 months, I've complained numerous times, and they don't know how long the work will last. How is that even possible? They should have some kind of idea how long the work will last.

Last may got 11.50 half price for 6 months and quidco 50 the quidco took 5 months which seemed a bit long got it in the end though equivalent to 13.66 for unlimited data texts and 200 mins. The tethering isnt detected on my m4 aqua so getting unlimited on my home pc. Would prefer EE 14.50 half price for 30 as thats permanent but that deal is only on 3 times a year and it dont fall right against my 3 contract. Id quite hapoily pay three about 15 for a permanent unlimited data deal

i couldn't agree more, was with them for 11years with the last 3 or 4 of those on the one plan and had not one or two contracts but three and had never missed a payment in all those years, then they stitched me up with throttling my allowance and only giving me 12gb of tethering then tried to increase my monthly payments by double for the privilege. that was bang out of order reduce the allowance or put up the payments but to hit everyone with both at the same time? they lost 3 contracts of off me and many of my family members they must have lost 1000's of customers over it. just shows all those years of being a faithful customer gets you naff all.

Been on the phone to them to renew my deal with them.

First tried telling me that the deal they were offering to me was unique (told them the same prices were on this deal)...

They will not budge on prices. I wanted £15 a month for more minutes. He couldn't do it.

He offered me £10 a month, 4gb data, unl calls / texts, no tethering, no feel at home.

£16 a month for 8gb data, unl calls / texts, feel at home.

30gb data, unl calls and texts is £20 a month with them too.

However, the last deal is really only a £30 saving on the price you can get online as there are 3 months free anyway.

Make of this what you will, but they seem to have less and less flexibility now than they had before.

just contacted three and this is from the chat dialogue
You can choose one with less personal hotspot allowances in our unlimited data packages. Like -
• All you can eat data + 200 min with 12GB personal hotspot will be for £11
• All you can eat data + 600 min with 12GB personal hotspot will be for £16

I opted to drop my unlimited calls on my £9 tarrif of unlimited calls/text and 4gb essential plan. for unlimited data feel at home advanced plan for a £2 increase. No brainer.

Properly miffed as they pushed me off a tariff like this earlier in the year, citing all sorts of sob stories... too expensive, too much data, fair for all customers blah blah.

I was paying £20 for AYCE data, 600 minutes and unlimited texts. They wanted to charge me £40 (with a "loyalty" discount of £5).

I politely declined and asked to be switched to the closest deal, which is what I'm on now - £17 for 200 minutes, 12Gb data, unlimited texts.

theese tariffs for all networks seem to be getting worse each year

Is 3's data service any good these days? there was a point where people were complaining they were getting low speeds.

These recent deals are a refreshing change from 3....was not long ago where the potential o2 tie up led them to increase prices to ridiculous levels.

Yes, they messed up with recent events though many of us managed to get suitable deals. I'm on 4 GB with unlimited mins/text and at home for £9pm, 8GB was/is available for £12.

Hmm.... Pay an extra £ for 400 more mins but lose unlimited data (only 4gb tethering).

not bad, I got a better deal from BT in the end.

The £15 plan is the one I managed to get on when they removed my One Plan earlier in the year.

maybe they should have offered excellent deals to their years loyal All You Can Eat tariff customers instead of offering them nothing!
