Appreciate the awareness, but he actually shared the Amazon warehouse option with me, now posted above, so was not a private sale... :man:

Worth waiting for it to drop in price to £35. Or buying one from the warehouse (also £35).
That or you could do what I did and look for broken/faulty ones on ebay for like £15, the common worn out joysticks, dodgy L2/R2's are pretty easy and inexpensive to fix.

What's the difference between v1 and v2? Got a ps4 deal for kids for Xmas was a bundle from Argos for £149 with Lego Star Wars. No idea whether the one in the box is V1 or V2. Any help please...

If it's the slim console it will have a v2 controller... from what I can gather it is minor differences (with the light bar indicator now also as a strip on the face of the controller) and the ability to connect via cable (not just for charging)... hope that makes sense. For most of us amateurs it won't make a difference I don't think, though I have heard the joysticks on the v1 are feeble so hopefully this is also addressed in the v2.

I was looking at getting a blue one and the cheapest I could find was £45 from Tesco direct.. seems the colour one's are more expensive

Thanks for this. It's not a slim one so guess it is a V1 so prob want another the same so that the kids aren't fighting over them!

I went for the sainsburys deal... £20 off £60 spend. Add v2 controller to basket - £44.99 then add a couple of crates of Budwizer for Xmas and it goes down to around £40

The sticks feel just as cheap to me this time around. Then again, I own controllers over 2 years old with no issues whatsoever, maybe I just got lucky...
