Make sure you have Silverlight installed (it will prompt you if you don't). Sometimes you have to try launching the live stream several times until it actually starts, which is a bit annoying. Works much better on the apps.

Google have dropped support for silverlight in chrome so you have to use another browser.ive been unable to watch on google chrome for months and months when ive tried ( admittedly only tried 2 / 3 times ) so used IE .
