Can anyone confirm if these are compatible with the older av200 style powerline adapters?
E.g. if i install one of these by the router, will the old adapter see the signal from it? Or would i have to have both the netgear and the av200 transmitters connected?
I know if it works at all it will limit to the slowest speed but i only have the av200 receiver on during the night as its in the bedroom so if the set up i described worked i could still benefit from the higher speed during the day when the av200 isn't on.
Hope all that makes sense. Just hope these do play nice with other adapters....

just make sure your upstairs and downstairs electric lines are on the same loop. Many are not and therefore you wont be able to route a link upstairs without resorting to cabling or wireless solutions

These are known to drop signal, from experience I would save my money.

Just got in from a concert. Paid £54.99 for these 4 weeks ago.
Would have repurchased then done a return with them for the original order. Meh!

yes i have an old router in the far corner of my house from my main router to get full coverage, used powerlines for this for a few years and never had any problems. Just make sure you Google how to setup your second router as an access point (turn off dhcp etc)

You could try purchasing them on the Lightning deal, slow shipping (so they don't dispatch immediately). Then contact Amazon, and ask if they'll refund you the difference, cancelling the Lightning deal. They've done that for me before. Worth trying!

Two ports would have been better though it seems a lot are single port until you get very pricey. I've tentatively ordered, am thinking of using one of these to create a second access point upstairs with a cheap router as the wifi is very hit and miss upstairs, despite it being a pretty small house.
Has anyone tried doing this with a powerline adapter? there any reason that wouldn't work?

Great price, hot. Just a shame it's only the passthrough ones for me (as I'd rather downward facing); been waiting for the regular ones to drop below £39.99 for months.

Bought 1000mbps tp-link ones a couple of weeks back for £44! Only set them up on Friday :disappointed:

Tempting at that price. Have a pair of basic 200mb adaptors that work well, though I very much doubt our very old wiring is up to making proper use of these and if I use them with the 200mb adaptors connected they will slow to the same speed (if they work at all).
