Oh Bender!
Because you load it up slam the lid then click 'Start'
A pot needs constant attention, stirring and heat adjustment.
WHY SO HARD?

Unless they genuinely don't know what they're missing out on and want to clarify why it's so good? Granted they sound quite uppity from what they've written!

A pot needs watching so it wont boil over, it also needs stirred to make sure cooked even and dosen't stick.
It needs the heat reduced when it gets to boil.
With this when I get home late, I throw the stuff in switch on and go for a shower.
It will cook and switch off so ready for me when Im ready, no checking every 10 mins and its not in the back of my mind I have a pot on the hob.
I dont know why Im explaining myself to you, you obviously have a serious problem with this or you dont like others having an opinion.

So it even washes itself? No? So you still have to roughly wash and chop the veggies? And wash the device and the blender blade when finished?
So how's that different from a pot and hand blender?

I had the Saute version which had non stick coating.
Im sure even the soup version has it.
Possibly just the smoothie version that dosent and thats why its cheaper.

Of all the gadgets ever made for the kitchen this has to be one of the most instantly redundant !
What's wrong with a pan & a blender? Both are multi functional and don't end up at the back of the cupboard not being used !

Ours gets more use than the dishwasher, it's well ahead of many kitchen devices in our house. If you don't own one, or don't have the time to chop vegetables I can see you might not see the point, but certainly it's a heavily used appliance here.

Not everyone has the time.
After a 12hr shift I certainly dont want to be chopping veg, blending, stirring then washing everything up.
With this you add roughly cut veg and water, walk away let it do its work.
Great soup in 30 mins.
Washing up is a breeze as you just rinse the blade and non stick pot.
Great kitchen gadget for a hectic lifestyle

I think my number one gadget is the Coffee Machine (every day at least once).
The stick blender
The food processor
The last soup was pumpkin and that needs a big pan !
