I think this game made children greedy and self serving for 80 years, and look where we are now with the property market.
I would like to see a Socialist version where you start the game, give everyone an equal share of land and then the game ends with everyone a winner and there is no disparity in society.
Last time I played Monopoly I rolled a double 6 4 times in a row, then landed on a chance card that sent me to jail then landed on go to jail.
I lost the game before I had even got around the board once, **** that game.

OK then, so whether they want to work for it or not, everyone gets a handout, and no-one has any incentive to do better? Nope, don't like your world.

Shock horror governments of all political persuasions get their old bill to eyeball the citizens, be it May or that poison wee nationalist socialist midget Sturgeon over here to those deranged psycho commie clones Maduro and the other Castro thing in Latin America :smirk:
Dutch old bill were listening in on football casuals' phone calls as far back as 20 years ago and intercepting their SMS messages too as soon as they came in to use.
French and German old bill was randomly listening in on accountancy and financial adviser firms' calls around the same time trying to catch tax swervers.
If you really believe everyone from that devious wee hobbit Zuckerberg to telecommunications firms like O2 don't give governments whatever they ask for when they really want it you need to spend less time hanging around on selective conspiracy street.
Auctioning properties whenever a player lands on a property and doesn't want to buy it *greatly* speeds up the game!

A retro look and "Includes tokens from the 1930s through the 2000s". Personally I'd get a used 50th Anniversary Edition for about £20. It's the version I grew up with and comes in a beautiful black and gold box and has metallic tokens.

If you collect your salary but forget to invest in your anniversary there's a chance that says you get the boot and lose your house on Park Lane
Can confirm the Sports Direct one is the American version - however, excellent find

Yeah right, they're not cheap other, some of them are £30 each. Have you seen the list of all them there's hundreds if not thousands.
Kinda off-topic but why don't they reinvent the board based on the version how many times can you go around the same square, there's no drastic change between versions, once you've bought one you've pretty much bought em all, they could be way more creative like the fallout one could be in the shape of a door, Zelda one could be in shape on link or whatever
