Rubbish you turn the volume control up on your phone. As for sonos multi room I packed my sonos 5 up and sold it.Big black Ugly plastic thing that's too boomy.Bought this and prefer it.Simple loud but controlled on top end and treble.Sonos are like bose overpriced paying for a badge plus monitor audio are experts in this field no gimmicks just quality.

Can you run a chrome cast off the speakers USB socket? That would certainly make it more appealing to me than having to have a separate power input for the chrome cast.

Is this anything more than just a bluetooth speaker and an active speaker with 3.5mm aux in?
That's a lot of money for a single ugly speaker. Even one made by MA.
I'm failing to understand the heat here. I guess in comparison to products made by Sonos this must appear as a bargain to a lot of potential Sonos buyers. And I guess it is exactly that.

Great design , very compact, superb sound . As others have said it's not a multi room speaker but as a standalone neat Bluetooth/Airplay unit it is superb. I love mine.

Indeed, comparing these to Sonos or iTunes systems is like comparing Apples with Bananas. They've abused the "Music streaming" phrase IMHO.
It's a decent bluetooth speaker, nothing more.

£119.02 on amazon, might be worth a flubit on this one. Payed £130 months ago via flubit and delivered by superfi. Great speaker, more than loud enough and lovely and clear. Great bass and tone.

The sound quality from these is phenomenal. Sadly I had to send mine back when I updated my wifi router and found compatibility issues. Actually I was gutted as it was so nice to listen to and had promised to bridge the multi sound source conundrum we face these days.
Buying one now I would probably just add a Chromecast Audio to the 3.5mm input
And price matched on Amazon (Prime)

You forgot to mention they have a proper audio heritage, and are not an Apple wannabe like Sonos.
(Although in audio circles, Sonos might be described as a Bang&Olufsen wannabe)

They also don't have any of the multi room functionality of a Sonos or app based control either.
Reviews seem to agree they sound great but a few mention they're a bit clunky and you need to physically turn volume up and down on the device.
