I used to buy the Lidl ones as well, they were great for the price and readily available.
Now I buy 1L bottles of Monin from eBay. Normally in 4x1L boxes. At £2 for 250ml these work out cheaper than the 1L bottles and they're definitely worth trying. I've tried a lot of different syrups, normally Caramel flavour, a lot just taste as though golden syrup has been used, sweet and mostly tasteless but the Monin ones are nice.
The nicest I've ever had was Teisseire Caramel syrup that Ocado used to stock but have now discontinued. Monin is my second choice but I can source it at a reasonable price so it's what I use.

Yep Monin does a Gingerbread (I think I need it) - I spotted in on Amazon when I was comparing prices for this post. And it's at a steal of a price: £8.49 for 1L!
You just need to trick your way around the delivery charge (unless you are going to put an order in that is £20+ anyway - likely at this time of year and all the bargains on here).
yes monin do,whether you get it or not is another matter.

Good find  but I buy the big bottles in TK Maxx for £5. It's a bit hit and miss for stock though. The big bottles last about 2 weeks in our house so these small bottles would be no good for us. Nice little stocking filler for a coffee fan.

I save a small fortune making my own cappuccinos and not going to costa
At the moment I have the sugar free gingerbread one. 1 litre bottle cost £4.99. They also had the peppermint one and an amaretto one for the same price. We do have bottles of both caramel and hazelnut syrups in the house but they are a different brand and cost £3.99 for the 750 bottles.
They do stock the basic flavours (caramel, vanilla, hazelnut) all year round but at this time of year they do seem to sell out quicker.

I've been using a1coffee for monin syrups for the last couple of years, £7.69 for 1 litre bottles, loads to choose from free delivery over £50 so ideal if you need a big order. My missus gets 12 bottles every Christmas... She is getting the same this year.. I'm full of surprises

These are certainly the best syrups imho. As someone already said, Costa use these. A good alternative if you're a Makro user is their syrup. Think they are around £4.50 for a litre.

I think I had the Hazelnut one recently in a National Trust cafe. That's the one I would go for personally, just a bit more 'unusual' than vanilla or caramel. Although, for my tastes at least, the cafe put too much syrup in (it was so sweet and hard to drink but I did regardless).
I've not tried many but looking at that list my eyes lit up - Gingerbread, Liquorice, Pumpkin Spice, Anise, Salted Caramel, Toffee Nut. Some people are whisky drinkers, others do rum, this list looks like something to consult pumpkinette and doozeruk about!

What are the ingredients? How many chemicals or E numbers inside?
I tried but the store closed by the time I got back from work - I'd forgotten that extended opening hours hadn't kicked in every day. I'm going Thursday night (my small Sainsbury's didn't stock them at all), so wish me luck!
Bought the mocha one yesterday. I usually love coffee anything, but I have to say that was not to my liking whatsoever. Has no coffeee smell at all and I didn't like the smell it did have. Can't use it again it's that bad.

16 Dec 16#53
I might be wrong but I don't think the small ones are available in sugar-free varieties, at least not in the supermarkets.
You can get sugar-free flavours in 70cl and 1L bottles - a good place to pick up a bargain is TK Maxx, but Amazon.co.uk has some reductions and some independent retailers mentioned on this thread stock them.

Amazon is rather overpriced for 1l, will try tk maxxx as I haven't seen consumable in my local.
Thanks! I saw that but I'm more of a hazelnut/vanilla sorta guy.
I did once bulk order Jordan's skinny syrups from trkg with some discount codes which brought it down to approx £5-6 per 750ml bottle. Will keep an eye out and report back if I find anything.

Yeah, I'd be on the hazelnut, too. The delivery charges for online retailers with a lower bottle price kills it, unfortunately. Good luck!

I finally got to TK Maxx today - no Monin syrup, they had some from other brands that are probably fine but I'm going to hold out for Monin :innocent:
Although they had (I think) an Italian brand that looked promising in smaller bottles - I was tempted but the massive queue put me off! I'll definitely bag some in the new year if I can't gamer the Sainsbury's deal for the small bottles at a bigger store.
