14 place settings. Or, if you load the dishwasher in the same way as my wife, around 3 tops.

With some chasing it's being delivered tomorrow. I ordered it on 30th or 31st ... can't quite remember.
Not great and also had an email from them that had a slight 'tone' to it also.
I actually wasn't that desperate for it but had heard nothing at all ...
Related I tweeted Miele to ask when they were getting some stock. They didn't bother replying.

Ordered mine from Mark's electrical
John Lewis lost out in the end as I just won't bother asking next time
I suppose I should have expected them to use any excuse not to reduce the price
Thanks OP we were looking to replace our ancient zanussi and the Wife is a big Miele fan

Great deal was the same on co op electrical but now out of stock there
Asked John Lewis to price match but they refused saying that they could deliver in 7 days and Marks electrical will take 8 to 14 days, like I'm in that much of a rush!
Just shows how useless the John Lewis price promise is!!

I've had the same problems with John Lewis and Mark's Electrical. They first tried arguing that it wasn't a store - just an online operation. They'll try any trick in the book to avoid honouring their price lie, and even if you do succeed they'll only drop the price for the person claiming - they rarely lower their standard price.
John Lewis are a bunch of lying tricksters these days.

Just be glad to get it. Been without a dishwasher for a year due to plumbing.
I like their simple look.

Funny isn't it the way we expect everything to be bang up to date in styling - until it comes to houses. Then we want mock tudor, fake Elizabethan and any other piece of fakery designed to make it look old.

Miele are so well engineered and last a long time, but I just can't forgive the 1980's styling they apply to everything, they look so dated next to the competition.
Hot if you like them though.

I suppode they would argue it gives then a timeless quality. quality>style.

Agree on the styling. It is kind of retro almost now

Excellent price; paid more for the basic machine 2 years ago when our 16 year old one gave up the ghost (the Miele rep said that it should have lasted at least 20!).
I'm afraid that the cutlery tray is still a matter of argument- fortunately, the new one has a basket that you just throw everything into.

Why didn't it last 20 years then?

Great, thank you .. have bought one.
By the way was buying same currys one but my card wouldn't work for some reason. Something to,do with password. Took a couple of hours to sort and when went back Currys wouldn't offer free delivery for same day so very happy to have found your post!
In meant time I tried AO.com who also wanted to charge for delivery. No thanks.
Had checked Marks and missed it so thanks very much. I bought a curved LED off them cheap before and was pleased.

Because I had Currys vouchers and they also have 11% quidco atm I went with the prolific features of the Bosch, here: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/bosch-serie-6-activewater-sms68m02gb-was-499-99-now-349-99-save-150-currys-2588498
