Yes. Currys were the selling the Core M version with pen & keyboard for £599.01 on the Sunday after Black Friday. I got JL to price match. The same deal was also available direct from Microsoft.

There is £100 difference between this one with the M3 processor and the i5. I know there's always something better for more £££s but it's not a fortune extra in the grand scheme of things.
Anyone have experience of how the M3 is? My usage is Chrome (maybe 20 tabs) and Microsoft office, not a whole lot else.

Perhaps a bit greedy but needs to include the keyboard as well otherwise really its £100 more.
I'm in the market for a 2 in 1 plus am also about to buy an Xbox One S so really means getting the Surface for £500.
(even better if this was the i5 one as well but maybe that is asking for a bit much!)

Actually some pretty mixed reviews on John Lewis site.
I guess really it is about the same deal, you paid effectively £100 more than this but you had the keyboard included. This one does come with the pen though which is about £45 so I suppose this does have the edge. Although you could probably beat the Xbox bundle by buying it separately and get some better games.

I didn't think any tablet or computer was productive, I thought that it was the user who was productive/non-productive and that the iPad/Surface Pro/laptop etc. were merely tools to facilitate the productivity.

Bought the i5 version last December and absolutely hate the thing. I've probably used it around 10 times. My biggest gripe is due to my stupidity. MS, Crucial, Smasung, all SSD brands seem to advise strongly about using hibernate. That is where my main problem lies. My desktop has not had a re-start in over a year; I have far too many programs running that I don't want to save and close that I edit with. I find it inconvenient to write down what has been edited and where to carry on from. Due to a form of Dyslexia, I have poor memory. Give me 5 words to remember and I've forgotten them in less than 10 minutes. A normal book page takes 6 minutes and I can't remember what I read the previous chapter. Won't bore everyone with more details but not being able to hibernate constantly is no use for me. It's not my only gripe with the machine; I just don't like the way it 'feels'. Compared to the ipad pro I purchased instead, it feels flimsy. The keyboard is also poor and the trackpads don't act like a laptop trackpad.
The pen is difficult to use (well, for me). I constantly move MS Edge or Mozilla tabs to new windows by mistake.
Anyway, I'd advise anyone thinking about buying one of these to go look/touch/test one if possible first.

But you should restart your machine periodically it's good practice.
Personally find the surface 10* better that iPad Pro for my needs :smiley:

This is not correct, there were issues with unreliable sleep/standby but these have been resolved. Just make sure to udpate it completely when you get it. I use one daily, it sleeps every night and is awake in the morning with all my applications only.
The pen thing is also nonsense, the pen is excellent in fact and more functional than the stupid apple pencil.

I know exactly what you mean, i was hoping microsoft would make a product to solve my personal problems and inability to use a simple pointing device but alas they ignored my letters.
