I contacted customer services because despite being advertised on their website as £4.99 when added to the basket the price of the shirts changed to £9.99. Customer Services apologised but said that was the offer last week and the price has now increased, and website was currently updating. They said they could not honour the price on the website.

Stupid sizing collared shirts as S/M/L.
Primark sell formal shirts for £5 (and they're sized, properly, according the collar size). Decent shirts, too.

I went 1 size up after attempting to fit a Small last time...
Medium fits me well - I'm 38 chest, 5'9, slim build.

Which is why they're easy iron at £5. If they were higher cotton % they'd be much more expensive than even full retail. Not all cotton is equal either...
