You don't need to get rid of it. Tick the standard delivery (£3.99) option in order to progress with your order. The delivery fee vanishes/never gets added. I ordered two 2x pairs and was charged just £5. Just follow the checkout process, you can cancel at any point prior to placing your order. When you finally confirm your order, the total should be £5/£10/£15/£20/etc - the £3.99 P&P fee never gets added.

Suffice to say the McKenzie ones sell for 12 quid per box of 2 on eBay but how much the price reflects the 'name' as opposed to the quality I really don't know. But I got the Rocawear 'Brooklyn's Own' boxers from Zalando from a previous HUKD deal. Worked out at 2 quid each delivered and the quality is way better than any of the 'cheap' ones I've ever bought.

Howver, it's probably all just pointless as we probably aren't getting these. Ce la vie...

I'm in the same position as a fair few people by the look of things. I received an 'order accepted' email, and they have taken the money from my bank. But when I track my order it says my order is under review and I will receive an email when it is despatched. Can't see it being honoured unfortunately, but if it isn't I won't be shopping at JD again. A mistake is a mistake, but to leave it since sunday with no cancellation email, having taken the money etc is a joke.

Just a thought, what if a company was struggling for Cashflow to pay the Xmas wages.

Given they're currently unable to offer either next day or collect in store delivery - I'd say their warehouse is having a minor meltdown! They're hardly a small company and it's the busiest time of year, you would have thought they'd be better prepared.

Anyway - like many, heard nothing since my order acceptance email. It's only £5 so I'm happy to wait and see what transpires. Worst case scenario PayPal will get my money back if nothing turns up so I'm not overly concerned.

Unfortunately. JD Sports often confirm and accept an order, and then a few days later send an email stating " the product/s you ordered were out of stock or if we couldn't secure payment from your card issuer when we attempted to despatch the order."

The " couldn't secure payment" excuse is nonsense, as on four separate occasions recently that my orders have been cancelled, the payment has already been taken and showing on my bank statement. The general rule of thumb is that if you don't receive a 'despatch notification' within three working days of placing the order, it will be cancelled.

Probably, but very hard to prove, as they hide behind the stock/payment disclaimer. Think it's a clever ploy to get you to look at other items on the website. They show some items on the site, that are out of stock, usually discounted trainers and other low value items, in the hope that you'll buy something slightly more expensive; throw in free delivery every now and then, and they've got you hooked!

Heard nothing at all since 12th December when I ordered 4 pairs at their £5 offer. No orders showing either on the JD account, so I emailed them tonight with a copy and pasted version of my Paypal transaction which showed them the invoice no. and transaction no. It also showed that 2 different packs @ £5 each where ordered (4 pairs) with £8.99 discount deducted and a delivery charge of £3.99 - so net total paid being £5.

Just got a reply email from DPD saying my delivery will be on Monday.

These are really decent pants! They're actually 95% cotton/ 5% elastane for extra stretch, which is fine by me. I went for size S for my 32" waist, which is pretty snug, but then I appreciate the extra support for running.

The only problem is they have a strong chemical whiff, but I expect that'll go away after a wash.

Can't dispute it as it was buy one get one free...so that's an easy get out clause for JD who clearly ballsed up on this whole offer. Got a black string bag (not what I'd call a duffle bag) thrown in together with another invoice for someone else in Wigan, who I see will also get half their order with one style also marked as OOS on their invoice. So it ends up £5 for 2 pair... not bad but a complete joke in terms of JD's handling of all this imo.

I would argue that JD are in breach of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations in that they have been both unfair and misleading as to quote Which?
"Misleading actions include advertising goods that don't exist, or offering just a few items at the advertised price with no hope of meeting large demand"
And perhaps a version of
"Bait advertising Luring the consumer with attractive advertising around special prices when the trader knows that he cannot offer that product, or only has a few in stock at that price."

As such you should be entitled at the least to a refund for those goods not supplied and JD Sports should be entitled to an audience with Trading Standards.

Wow my four orders have arrived, buy one get one free boxers but no 'chav bags', the comments on this post has been great for keeping me informed. JD has come good in the end but my stress levels were challenged. I hope everyone else gets their orders soon!

A bit over the top for some free pants...

Arguably they've done nothing wrong - other than launch a cracking deal during a peak time whilst undergoing warehouse 'issues'. Their system was clearly overwhelmed with orders and stock wasn't kept track of.

It's poor, but none of it intentional - just a perfect storm of high demand, stock errors and poor communication.

Received mine today and with a free bag too. The invoice made it seem like they'd charged me £10 but I've checked and they've only charged me £5 so I'm happy. Pretty good quality for just £1.25 each!

Mine came today, forgot I even ordered them to be honest. That moment when youre excited to open a package you have no idea whats in there to find pants...

Can anyone that received theirs, check their paper invoice in the package, mine says total £20 but should be £10 which my email states, cant check my bank at the.moment.

Yes I have, but it's just a plastic carrier bag with strings. Like the ones they give you when you buy trainers.

Mine says £30 but it also has 3 lines of "This item has been discounted by 5.00" and only £20 went out initially and got a refund of £5 pending for the items that were OOS.

Arguably if one person receives a full order and the next person receives a partial order under the guise of 'we'll we ran out but hey, it was BOGOF so you lose' then that is an unfair practice. If however they recompense to the missing value, it is at least fair.

At least - it is UNfair to all those who paid £5 per pack when others paid £5 for two packs. When all believed they were getting the same deal.

I dunno, perhaps you have enough money to burn that £2.50 is neither here nor there to you - but to some others it's a big deal especially at Christmas. And of course, it's also a matter of principle.

It's an offer, offers end - you win some you lose some. It might seem unfair, but that's life unfortunately. You paid for one pack, if you got one pack then you paid for what you got. Some people got the free packs, some didn't, but everyone paid for what they got - and those that didn't can get a refund.

I ordered on the 12th and got half my order....so I wonder if there is any credibility at all in this JD shambles? In other words, have all the people who ordered early (11th?) got their full orders? Trying to understand if the time it took them to even get my order going (1 week) meant they actually didn't even process their picking and packing in the same order as they received payments and that's maybe why some of us are getting this OOS situation?

No desptach email, no DPD delivery email, but arrived today.
Got 8 packs, invoice states £40, credit card debit is £20. So got the BOGOF with free delivery
Let's hope they fit my sons now, because after the farcical situation that arose, I hope I don't have to attempt a return!

It gets odder and thats what threw me the invoice was for £25 checked paypal only charged £15 so i guess im a pack down still 5 packs for £15 isnt too bad i guess... :sunglasses:

You ordered 5 packs. the invoice shows the total as it would have been if you didn't get the BOGOF offer.

That's where the £25 comes from. In fact you did get 2 packs free as part of BOGOF thus the actual amount you paid was £15.

If you had ordered 6 then the price would still have been £15 (pay for 3 and get 3 free)

only received 1 pair instead of 2 was told they would refund £2.50 but that was it said they where out of stock and they would not send out emails if stuff was out of stock just cancel that and send the rest of the order even though you still pay the same postage for half your order and the less said about customer service the better as i don,t want a ban from hotdeals

I've received a £5 refund (I ordered 8 pairs and spent £10), but there was no explanatory email as to why, and I haven't received them yet (I think they're at the Royal Mail office waiting for me to collect them this afternoon). I better receive at least 4 pairs, 6 would be even better but we'll see!

I ordered 8 pairs for £10 delivered and they all turned up the other day, but like others after hearing nothing for days I presumed they weren't going to arrive tbh. The invoice said charged £20 but x2 lots of £5 discount had been removed (said in tiny writing underneath) and only £10 taken from my PayPal account. Thanks again OP :smiley:

Got both sets of my Boxers, one was delivered by DPD and the other was Hermes.
Strange two companies, anyhow got my Order so it all worked out in the end for me.

I would say that in this world we only get what we pay for, So for decent underwear you will have to pay out for them.
So I am expecting some issues.....
At the moment only used one pair since getting them,,,,,time to try another pair :-P
