All the others are same price, Simpsons, Star Wars, Spider-Man, Turtles. They've been that price for past month so possibly will go down further

Carrera go is a good system, easy to expand and lots of great detail cars to be had. Just knock out the stupid turbo button system by bypassing the resistors in the base terminal.

There is not lots of great details cars to be had in the slightest. You get Mario, Luigi, Toad and there may be a Yoshi (cant quite recall). And then you have to buy a whole crappy set just to get a car, and that means another duplicate Mario.
So what is all this bypass the resisters in the base terminal nonsense? Assuming we are all electricians, and get out screwdrivers and cable cutters out, and start messing around with the wiring, what is the purpose? What can we achieve?
