This film is even worse than the remake of the Italian job, which I never thought was possible.

At least it's only a rental so won't take up any space in your bin after you've watched it.

Scottish actor plays American security agent that comes to London and suggests that the British police is infiltrated with terrorists.

Really enjoyed the first one despite major implausibility. But not the second, on first viewing. Dumbed down Butler's character. But rewatched LHF twice since and with expectations lowered, found it quite enjoyable, albeit even more divorced from reality in its plot credibility. Received some absurd pc racism criticism for having middle eastern terrorists attacking the UK. That was the most realistic aspect! A third one, Angel has fallen is being made. Set on Air Force One. I think they decided not to care about the realism of attacking secure locations and having so many traitors in the ranks but some lip service would be nice in the next one.

it's fine for a bit of action if you don't take it too seriously, it's just non stop shooting and things blowing up at a high pace with a laughable storyline. personally enjoyed it as a bit of mindless entertainment / downtime!
