Interesting info but the poster miximix or whatever they call themselves is the only one with a time machine but they won't let anyone have a shot of it so unfortunately we can't go back and get these deals.

After going through 4 faulty T500s/300s (one of which caught on fire, which I'm glad I was in the house) I gave up on Thrustmaster and bought one of these for £99 at the start of the year and I'm glad I did. It's still running strong from daily iRacing use and it's 95% as good...
The Pedals are way better than the standard Thrustmaster ones which have no clutch, I even liked them more than the T500's. You have to buy this add on Pedals for as much as this costs, which I did and I still think these ones feel better.
The FFB isn't quite as powerful as the T500, but I always had that wheel on like 30-40 any ways, there comes a point when the power just isn't realistic and it starts clipping so you feel no bumps etc. It's about on par with the T300, but it doesn't have the smoothness of the T300, it's a bit rougher feeling like the T500, only a bit more rougher than that.
However I was scared it would be all grind and clattery due to the gears. It's blown way out in reviews, it still feels really smooth and it's relatively quiet, I mean the fan on the T500 and 300 were so loud any ways. It does feel smooth, but it's just a little bit rougher... it's not worth spending way more on the T500/300 for.
The only down side I see to it is the look of the wheel, it's really ugly lol, but it does at least feel nicer in hand than some of the Thrustmaster wheels which, the TX was made from Plastic and neither the T300 and T500 are leather (or faux leather, whatever the G29 is), they're using this rubber material.
I rate it over the Thrustmasters, it's almost as good wheel wise, pedal wise it's way better and the Shifter doesn't cost a lot either, though I like using the Paddles. It has the reliability which is important for me, the amount of Thrustmasters I got through just put me off them for life. The only other alternative is a like £1000 Fanatec setup.

Just bought a tx leather edition, it's very powerful like you say and I'm hoping i don't get any of these problems (spent £400 on wheel and shifter) can recommend a gt omega stand to people as no silly pole in between my legs and folds away in the cupboard nicely

I have owned the T300 since it was released, my brother owns the g29. The G29 is a good wheel for the price, but I have to disagree that the G29 is anywhere near as good as the T300. Yes the standard pedals are rubbish with the t300, but the T3PA addon pedals for the t300 are far better than the standard pedals with the G29, and the wheels are not comparable, the T300 is simply a different class, it is far more realistic and extremely smooth, wheras the G29 is clunky and the feedback is not realistic. I have compared both wheels for lap times on a few games, every game I got a better time out of the T300, the biggest difference being f1 2016 where I could not get close with the G29, I was consistently between half a second to 1 second faster with the T300 which is a huge difference on f1. If you're a casual player then I would highly recommend the G29 for the price, considering you will pay twice as much for the T300 with the T3pa pedals, but if you are serious about your racing games, the T300 is by far the better wheel and is certainly worth the extra!

for people who own it
does the clutch have a biting point?
is the handling different based on car?
how is the build quality of the gearbox- does it slot in well?
does the wheel completely change the experience?

Just to say - RTFM - there is a little switch on the G29 - to the left is PS3 and the right is PS4 - for connection (and configurable with then Logitech gaming software etc.) it needs to be set to PS4.
Had a few problems getting it set up in windows 10 and Logitech software but nothing insurmountable - but that may have been caused by the above and detecting as a earlier model wheel

I bough the G920 the day it was released and bought a wheel stand pro V2 to go with it.
Purchased the G29 before christmas on the £130 deal and decided to but the GT Omega stand just to compare the two.
They are both very good stands but I prefer the wheel stand pro V2.
The pro V2 is lighter and a lot faster to set up with it's quick release fittings and takes up less room.
Also got the version 2 gearstick mount for the GT Omega as it looks to take up less room than the original gear mount.
The GT Omega is heavy though if you plan on moving it about a lot.
The wheels themselves are brilliant
And rubber band/ O rings on the gearstick to make it sequential is a joy

Where did you buy the wheel stand pro v2 from and how much did you pay, have seen one for £95.
Markmerry
31 Dec 16#54
£95 is around the cheapest you will find new.
I bought mine direct through ebay but Amazon, or direct from their website is around the same price.
I would buy one again if I needed one
Personally I replaced all 6 bolts with with M3 x 16mm hex head bolts, then grab 2 x Nitrile rubber O rings, I used 44mm inside diameter x 2.5mm thickness. Both can be bought for a few pounds.
Pop the O rings over the gearknob, then stretch one O ring over the bolts at 3-5-7-9 o'clock, then stretch the other O ring over bolts 3-9-11-1 o'clock and push the gater down the shaft.
Then adjust settings in game to use gear 3 as gear down and gear 4 as gear up.
Works great with Dirt rally, have not managed to set sequential in Assetto Corsa yet but only tried last night.

I find my way springs back more consistently than in the video with only 2 bolts

Got one of these on the last deal at 129.99 and really haven't used very much because only works properly with the games on Logitech compatibility list. Also the shifter is boring and the wheel has shifter and is enough. This is a nice bit of kit but nowhere as good as my old good days of Microsoft sidewinder Force feedback wheel. This wheel works nicely with the new need for speed 2016 multi-player game.
