Would this be any good for playing Natively ( not streaming) Indie Games such as:
Terraria
Castle Crashers
Battleblock Theater
I am trying to get something that plays modern but casual games like the above

If it's anything like Steam in home streaming then you can get it to work but it's non-trivial. I used a VPN to connect to home, tun mode, streaming didn't work because the two devices didn't 'see' one another. If I used a VPN in tap mode (i.e. appear as a device on the same subnet) it works. I'm wondering if detection of other machines is done by broadcast, in which case whether I can have broadcasts on one subnet spread to another, if so, a tun VPN would work. Just gotta find the right tickbox in pfsense.
*edit* I don't use one of these personally, I use a GPD Win which is a full windows 10 PC in a clamshell form factor like the nintendo DS. 5.5" display, beefier atom (x7 z8700) which means bigger GPU. Generally pretty happy with it but it is like 3x the price of the linx.

excellent for Streaming Xbox One, use mine regularly when TV is in use by kids. Couple of things, You need a decent router, ensure you fully update windows or xbox app wont wanna work, if you want to play straight from the box

Have you tried streaming on another windows 10 device? Your issues could have been network related. Is the Xbox wired or wireless? Have you checked on YouTube for videos of other people using this device with xbox?

I have one, don't really understand the negative comments, I've streamed a few xbone games to mine and installed and played games from steam on it as well such as Gone Home and Psychonauts. Its not going to play the latest games, but for older ones its great while the OH is watching the soaps

can't see much point in this over a linx8, slightly better specs and silly control thing for about £40 more

I do love the streaming idea.

Nintendo's super late to the party but I'll give them a pass as long as they actually have quality third party support and quality first party games.
I really want to play that new Mario 64 "Part 2" game they showed.

Whoa, looks almost like the Switch.

Yeah, there are many Andriod and Windows tablets which looked like the Switch years before it was announced! Ones like the Razer Edge Pro are still probably more capable than the Switch will ever be.

I had one of these. but Returned it to the store. while the tablet is full windows 10. battery life was great . screen was great. build quality for the price was amazing there were a few things I disliked. the controller didn't feel great to hold since its perfectly upright handles. triggers were a bit mushy. don't expect to play many games with this. I tried dark souls 1 on lowest settings and it ran about 15 fps didn't get to try much else due to limited space and many games now require 64bit windows which this is not!. emulators seemed ok at 1st but the controls always felt a bit off... could never quite get them set up perfectly like a normal controller. some emulators have issues with not recognising to controller at all. as well as some pc games not recognising it. overall for £100 you're getting a decent piece of hardware but fairly limited but there isn't much else better for the price out there. all metal body btw so fairly heavy

agreed. I bought one for my son to stream from his xbox and the lag just made every game unplayable. was really disappointed as this was advertised as the main feature.

Had one of these, I'm a fan of the Linx tablets and got one of these on release. Hated it. Couldn't get used to the controller, and the tablet itself felt worse than the Linx 8 I sold in preparation to get this - very sharp edges and bulkier than the Linx 8. Streaming worked ok on a 5ghz network. When the tablet died after a couple of weeks I was relieved to get a refund and have done with it.
Don't bother. Great idea but not worth £100. Get a normal Linx tablet, at least they do well as Windows tablets rather than trying to be a jack of all trades but a master of none.

Biggest pile of **** I ever bought. Spent £150 on it, yea it was ok for streaming Xbone games but the controller takes a lot of getting used to. As for pc games don't even bother, real hassle.

Tbh, it's only an Atom, so you wouldn't want to be running any proper games natively this!

I was considering buying the nvidia shield tablet. Is this worth it? Was planning to do general browsing with hearthstone

This will do the job perfectly. Shield is overkill if you're just playing hearthstone and browsing

I have this. Decent piece of kit. Threw the control part in the bin, and just use my ps4 control. Can play pc games on it natively obviously older games, but does the job with steam. Mostly use it for emulation as it has full windows 10 and I really rate it.

would this work away from the home? so could I play battlefield over the Internet from another router etc?

Unfortunately me thinks not. Only over the same network the Xbox and device are on is the last I read. Saves disturbing the missus when she wants to watch Corrie.

Needs to be on the same network.
I'm sure I've read somewhere that someone has managed to get it work with some tweaking.

Would be nice if the switch was only a Ton, i might buy it then.
Not sure shapalando, would be good if you could though, i assumed it was just over home network.
