Have you looked at the Hisense H50M3300 on Argos? I've got one and it's a cracking TV for the price

I have. now I'm not too tech savvy but been reading that it's not HDR. or has this been rectified by a update ( as read on forums).
my bro is getting this model on Sunday so I'll have a gander at he's.
long as it's a good pic for gaming and movies and a good upgrade from my 42" led lg

It's had a firmware update which changes 2 of the HDMI ports to HDR. I'm not too up on the technical details but this has an 8 bit panel so not sure how this affects the quality or if it's not quite true HDR.
The picture is fantastic on normal HD channels and the 4K stuff on You Tube and Amazon Prime look amazing. Normal SD channels aren't the greatest but I believe this is the same for all 4K tv's.
I've got both a PS4 and an Xbox One S on it and they are both fantastic (The Xbox outputs in true 4K).
You can Google some picture setting tweaks for this model which can make the picture better.

If it's the Hisense, the frame is plastic. If it's the LG I don't know, sorry!

well I bit the bullet and do got the hisense 50" m3300. was on offer and with code got it for £360. so saved £140 and tbf probably won't be able to tell the difference between the 2.
I have two Hisense 553300 tv's and they are fine.I also have a 55 Samsung ju6400(My main TV) and I can tell you that it is no better then the Hisense. Haven't tested the LG UH49850V yet, which is my Sons Christmas Prezzie....Yes my lot all still live at Home, they are like Bl**dy boomerangs.

HDR is fine if there was enough content about but there is not and you see how long it has taken for nearly all channels to go to HD. Well on Virgin there is not one channel in true 4K and I should think We are a few years from that and HDR. So all this stuff about future proof can wait because in about 4 years I would prob change the TV for one that is up to date and handle HDR much better, providing there is enough content around. Another thing to remember is to use the correct HDMI ports(2 dedicated on the Hisense) to handle 4kish content.
