Voted hot since it's still cheaper than elsewhere but having read all the fake 4k stuff on here I think I'll wait
until the market sorts itself out or until my old 1080 TV blows up.

In my case, I'm looking for a well reviewed 40-43" 1080p TV with Freeview HD, above average speakers (for a flat screen) and low lag/motion blur (smart features not required).

This is confusing. Can someone answer the question whether the SAMSUNG UE40KU6000 is better? I'm unsure whether or not it's worth getting a 4K at all yet - the TV's under £1000 don't have HDR and apparently that is more of an upgrade than 1080p -> 4k is..

Hmm... you mean 1080p tv or pc monitor?

oh ffs. just read up on this rgbw stuff. so now i gotta choose between real 4k Samsung 40" or fake 4k LG 43".

Or a decent hd 40 screen which might be sharper than the rgbw uhd screens; what I am doing myself.

Cold RGBw, defeats the purpose of all the 4K stuff
SAMSUNG UE40KU6000 is available at JL for £399, also at Richer sounds for £349. Would this tv be a better option in this price range?

Hi
I'm new to smart TVs. Can someone tell me what USB I need to record programmes on my Tv ? (My TV said USB wasn't connected when I wanted to record something)

ok as no one else have answered,
I`m guessing when you press record on your TV remote,
its showing a message like "there`s no USB device present".
the type of device you need is ether a USB flash drive or a portable USB harddrive.
if you haven`t got one of those about you can get them from here:
if your going to do a lot of recording i`d recommend a harddrive .

Can we be sure it only effects LG, I thought in the past they supplied panels to others manufacturers. I was considering buying the next model up at JL as it has 3 tuners not 1, but would it be better to spend extra money and get a samsung?

Only LG and then it's just some models within the UH6 range that have these panels,HDR has went the same way with it being added to most newer 4K sets even though most have no real HDR capability at least there is a minimum specification agreed with sets achieving this getting Premium UHD certification.

Wow. I had no idea that even existed.
That is diabolical!
The UHD spec needs clear rules and regulations otherwise I'm sure we'll see more of this kind of trickery.
The manufacturers and model numbers should be publicly named and shamed.
yes maybe some has already gone through this and could of helped since there shut until tomorrow. after all this site is to help people with deal etc. some right cranks on here
