It wasn't this bad a year ago. There seems to be a sudden wave of users voting any old tat hot

HUKD, in my experience, has always been somewhat...err...unpredictable when it comes to what gets hot or not.
Usually stuff gets pretty much where it deserves to be if it manages to struggle past that first 100 degrees where deals aren't on the front page.

Could you specify the poorness of this compared to the other. Keep in mind that full HD is debatable on the Z50.

Curious as well, they both have the same CPU, RAM, HD, battery life and possibly both only have 720p displays

An Acer ES15, Intel i3, 6gb ram, 128gb SSD and full HD screen. Was £249 from very until Christmas eve. (349 plus 100 cashback when bought on credit, so you never had to pay out more than 250).

Posted this on the other thread as well, hope it helps someone but if anything it's confused me more.

Out of curiosity does anyone know if this will work with the elgato hd for recording and editing game capture?

looking at the graphics I wouldn't recommend this laptop for gaming especially if u want to record as well

Anyone picked it up yet please provide any feedback.

ive bought it and I can confirm it does come with bag and wireless mouse which is a good thing since the track pad is shocking compared to my dell although it has separate buttons which I prefer. Overall a very good laptop for the price though

Thank you for the advice I will look to get that one then

Confused between this and the Z50 @£249 now! i3 vs AMD? Both are in my local Argos. Any advice welcome!
Seen the test results but they just confuse me and seem pretty similar. I can't see the kids using many different applications but I am guessing Minecraft as some point. Would like one with emphasis on a faster start up and navigation than multitasking.
Haven't much of a clue about all these options.... I'm a Mac man!

I don't think it's worth paying the extra £20 for this one if it's just for basic tasks and Minecraft etc. I can't imagine the start up times being massively different as well.

I bought a Z50 from Amazon france a year or so ago.
This machine is very poor compared to this deal (listed virtually above this one)

Is it worth returning it and getting this for an extra £25 as it has 8GB ram?
Thanks
For only £25 for double the RAM, you can't go far wrong ..... :smirk:
