I bought a Technic set last year, not had one since I was a kid. Couldn't believe the instructions spread over 2 books about 190 pages! Took me ages, it was a kind of pick up truck or kind of crane thing. Only downside of Technic is its pretty tricky to build anything else unlike normal Lego.

the truck was a **** to put together but that made it all the more satisfying. I thought the Porsche looked ridiculous in the pics, but it is my sons favourite car, so I bought anyway. I couldn't have been more wrong, it looks incredible, and its design makes it all the more unique. Also the way it is packaged is the best I have ever seen in any Lego product....it really is premium, it comes with hardback book etc, in a beautiful case. This price is really good, I don't think any Lego fan would be disappointed after building it....

I'll admit I have not seen the build of the Porsche in person, the truck I have and yes that is an excellent model.

PS this Porche looks much better in real life than the box....it really is a masterpiece. So is the Mercedes Truck

I forwarded your remarks to Lego. Just to confirm, they don't give a s***.
Nor do we, so why don't you do one. as some of us are interested in this Lego masterpiece.

To be fair he has a point (as in the user criticising the build)... caveat I am a big Lego fan!

Looks like a crashed Porsche that has been repaired with an assortment of hammers. I'm sure TLG could have done a better job with the bodywork for smaller gaps. There are a few Technic car MOCs of similar size that look a lot better than this.

Outstanding set. I was admiring it built in Arndale Lego store. This is still more than I'd like to spend on a Lego set though :disappointed:.
