The ending of just the prologue had me in such a state that I nearly became teary eyed. Whenever I hear the theme by Gustavo Santaolalla my insides become all uncomfortable and mixed up..

it's a goose chase, I was in four asda,s in 15 miles radius from where I live and I could not find any, I checked all shelves, asked stuff etc etc. If u find it well done !

Probably the most overhyped game of all time and the only one that didn't live up to it. Completed it 3 years ago and again last week. Decent experience but nothing more. Everyone should play it though for just £10.

I would say so, my local tend to have all the games locked up, whereas when asda last had the LOU for £10 (September 2015) crown point had loads of them)

Along with uncharted and tomb raiders this is in our top 3 brilliant game!

I gotta be honest and say the intro was the second scene in a video game to make me cry. I really think i was too harsh when i said "decent". There was too much positive feedback for the game. I don't think i can remember much but i saw very few bad reviews when it released and that got me pumped but had to wait several months to actually play it. I was very disappointed for some reason. I wish i could say its an amazing game but i don't feel that way.

You could pay 4x as much and it would still be the best £40 you ever spent. Best game I ever played in my 30-year gaming career (spanning a dozen different systems). And it's not even close.

The fact you can still get the day 1 edition more than 1.5 years after its release kind of tells you day 1 bonus DLC / limited etd's are not worth purchasing they are all mass produced.

One of the best PS4 games, and an absolute bargain!!

Never completed it on the PS3, never got round to finishing it. Have since bought it on the PS4 though so hoping to complete it sometime.

Absolutely nothing on offer in my local Asda,(aside from NMS :wink:),not even a whiff of a bargain to be had in the lacklustre 'games' dept :disappointed:

Totally agree - from the hundreds (if not into thousands) of games I've played in more than 25 years this IS THE BEST GAME I've ever played. Stunning. It's also the best zombie experience I've had - far better than The Walking Dead (which I'm a fan of). Really crosses over, out of just the video game experience.

Mine doesn't, At least it doesn't have the games people are sharing on offer but has like Deus ex for £15 and No man's sky for £20 but I've been looking for The Witcher 3 and Last of us.

Went to the biggest asda in Maidstone and it was a total waste of time, not a single thing on sale in the games department

I think "Days Gone" will change that, although the developers didn't refer to them as Zombies exactly.

This game is so good that I didn't want to complete it asap in 2013 but then university started again, I never finished it on PS3, same goes for UC4. Might have a look at ASDA for this and IW tomorrow.

Mine is like that too - small selection of games to start with and none of them are ever reduced to the prices people find them for when they post these deals - with the exception of The Last Guardian, which they do have at £25, but that's the first one I've ever seen. I was in there 2 hours ago and if they'd had The Last of Us for £10 I would have snapped it up! Also would have liked the Uncharted Collection at £12.

Was in this store on 23rd December, they had a good number of games reduced then, TLOU was not part of them then, but had several copies of Mario Golf 3DS and Dragon Age Acquisition for £7.50.

This is a great game! Its an absolute steal at this price. I bought Last of us for £12 about 8 months ago. Last of Us 2 is in development for those who are not aware. :smiley:

Everytime I go into Asda Halesowen for these kind of deals, there are never any left. Guessing they've been shop lifted by then and sold at the cash converters round the corner.

Well, we can argue it really. You are only people I've ever heard put Demon Souls (A generic hack and slash) which is also part of an incredibly small niche market, over The Last of Us which is an emotional roller coaster of a game bridging the incredibly hard gap of bringing story to games.

I mean TLoU has received critical acclaim from every single reputable gaming company, sponsor, youtube streamer. The AVERAGE review score is something like 9.8/10. The game is just flat out unbeatable.

Fair enough you might not enjoy it, but claiming that demon souls is a better game is borderline insanity.

8.5/10 game and a steal at 10 quid. It depends how long you have been playing games. Nothing felt new, innovative or "wow", but it was solid in lots of aspects. I've been gaming since 1985.

Fantastic story & great (though not excellent) gameplay. If the sequel can live up to this one's story, as well as make the gameplay more interesting and varied, then I think they'll be onto a winner.

They didn't say it was bad, they said it was decent.

I've also tried to play it twice... once on PS3 and then the remaster on PS4 and both times I've given up (what I presume to be) reasonably early. The story really isn't that endearing (as a parent to a young girl I remained completely unmoved by the opening sequence) and some of the gameplay mechanics have been done much better elsewhere...

Finished it on my PS3 a couple of weeks back, a very enjoyable game.

Hot. Naughty Dog are in a class of their own. This also includes the remastered DLC The Last of Us: Left Behind which is very good also.

Zombie games are cheaper in Halesowen Asda as some of the scenes were filmed there.

Bought this at PS3 launch, was so looking forward to it and didn't really like it. Got to the bit just before Elle and gave up, traded it. When I got a ps4 I gave it another go, again didn't like it but persevered past the bit I stopped at previous. Then it just suddenly got so much better. One of the best games I ever played story-wise. Also loved the mp once I got into it and is my favourite since gears of war 1
