I love my Islay whisky and this is a real treat. Sounds a lot but an amazing price for this particular dram.

Only £10 more than the standard 16yr. Certainly cheapest its been. The question is whether you appreciate your Islay whisky or not! The Caol Ila 12 which just dropped to £30 would be a cheaper way to find out.
On a side note, how come every time my price watch goes off someone posts it first!

I got the trigger at 0030 but didn't post til I woke up. You had plenty of time :stuck_out_tongue: Must admit I'm normally in the same boat!

Also they have the 8-year-old at £44.99. It's a spritely young thing and well worth trying.
I've snapped them both up.

Excellent deal - just bought a bottle.
Seems I'm stocking up on my Islay whiskies - Laphroaig 10, Laphroaig QC, Ardbeg 10, Kilchoman Machir Bay, Bunnahabhain 12 and now this bought within the last 3 weeks! Oh - and that's in addition to 9 other scotch, bourbon and rye whiskies bought in the same time period.
Can't figure out if I'm an alcoholic, a hoarder, or simply unwilling to let a good deal go by...

You need to drink them on the day you receive them absolutely regardless of anything else happening to qualify as an alcoholic. So you don't pass I'm afraid

I'm sure I've read somewhere that Lagavulin 16yr old is the best whisky you can buy at less than £100, the 16yr old is around £50 per bottle, this, if it could be compared (and I am:p) then this is HOT.
Nice find.

Yeah, why pay all that money when you can get a bottle of Bells for a tenner with plenty of money left to mix it with Rola Cola?

Great price, if you're a Costco member they have the 16 year old regular one for £40 which is great as it's never usually on an offer, normally £50. Sometimes get it from Waitrose if they do a large money off coupon.

Lagavulin Distillers Edition is the best whisky I've tasted! However it was an earlier release than this...
This is certainly a great price to give this one a go though, heat!
