I have received at least 3 calls a month from hotel chocolat tasting club sales asking me to come back for the last year dispite telling them I'm not interested they never get the message and I'm not the only one just Google it :-/ if your going to join I suggest not giving your real phone number
I think this deal may be expired as the last part doesn't seem to apply anymore - additional boxes now seem to be £9.95 (unless anyone can see somewhere else to select in the new website?)

bungaria - I have had the same problem. I have had no response from the 'contact us' link - so I then posted on their Facebook page and that produced no response. Then I sent a message to their help website and finally got a reply asking me to send screen shots of the problem, which I did - two days ago ... have heard nothing since. However - today I discovered if you go to your selections (where you can change the frequency of delivery) there is a small 'snooze' option. Click that and on the next page you get the option to cancel. :smiley:

Hopefully someone can help - hotel chocolat have a new website and it's no longer possible to cancel the regular selections as it comes up with an error page when trying to manage my selections!?
I have tried the steps below;
1. Went to 'https://www.hotelchocolat.com/uk/tasting-club.html’ and logged into my account
2. Click through the menu on the left i.e. ‘My Account’ > ‘Join a Club’ > ‘Discover’
3. There is a link at the bottom of the page; ‘MANAGE MY SELECTIONS’
I’d imagine this is where I need to go however when I click on this link it seems to be broken as it’s bringing up an error page then asking for a password - anyone else having the same issue?

Received both of mine - mellow and classic but expiry date on both 01/2017 which is next week. I know it's got the whole of January but looks a bit s**t if you give them as presents.
I've done a complaint online - would never have bought them knowing they were short dated.

Oh yes, the other thing I forgot to mention is that if the status says 'Despatched' then it is simply ready to be despatched with the next shipment of orders, it doesn't meant that it has left the premises. I spent ages trying to get Customer Services to see that the choice of wording for that status is misleading, but they weren't even willing to pass my concerns on to the relevant department. They are a terrible company when it comes to Customer Service and I've just had to contact the CEO directly (at his request) as there is still contradicting information on their website that was supposed to have been removed in June this year!

Ordered 2 boxes (classic & mellow) on 12th and dark on the 13th. All have came today. I live just outside Glasgow. Hope everyone else gets delivery in time for Christmas!
These probably won't last that long but they are best before end of January 2017. A bit rubbish when someone has said above that the company claim these are made fresh and sent out. Surely that's quite an early expiry date??

Just rang them up and enquired, saying they definitely were in stock a couple of days ago according to their site. The woman on the phone didn't understand exactly why, but confirmed what your email said. Saying they wouldn't be sent out till February now. Told her that was no good to me as I'd ordered for xmas. Cancelled the second box with her over the phone. Got a genuine reason to cancel my subscription now too.

I am very sorry for the inconvenience and delay, we do not recommend purchasing the Introductory Selections as gifts as we do have to allow 10-12 working days for delivery because all of our selections are made freshly and sent out in small batches for delivery from our Warehouse in Switzerland.
Unfortunately as stated on the website the Fortified is out of stock until February I would be more than happy to change this to a different selection but this would not arrive in time Christmas now so please accept my apologies.

Oh, you click on the "Manage Selections" at the bottom left. The classic box says at the top Next Estimated Delivery Date 17 March 2017 and at the bottom Recent Deliveries 23 December 2016 - TD206. Next to my undelivered fortified box it say's at the top Next Estimated Delivery Date 21 December 2016 and at the bottom Recent Deliveries You have not had any deliveries. Pretty confusing lol.

If you log in then hover over where it says Hello Dave* and click on Manage My Tasting Club you'll see a new page with several options. Click on the one that says My Regular Selections (bottom left) and you should see the details of each one you ordered.

Yeah, ordered the classic myself, then immediately ordered an additional fortified box. The classic box was delivered. No mention of the additional box in the paperwork that accompanied the classic box.

I ordered 2 a couple of minutes apart on the 12 December. The first one has just been delivered, the postman knocked despite that it would easily have fit through the letterbox. Just sweating on my additional box now. Bought them for gifts, so a bit disappointed the chocolate box says "TASTING CLUB" right in the centre of the box. If you look at the picture on their site they have the tray of chocs on top of the lid hiding where that capitalised writing is. So, if like me, you were buying them for gifts so that it would look like you spent more than you actually did - you're bang out of luck lol. Hope that helps.

Do note that you won't get your membership pack until the second box has been delivered, and it has to be two of the SAME box - if you change your regular selection before this then you'll have to wait for your second delivery of your new regular selection.
I know this as I got caught out and couldn't figure it out until I made an enquiry with Customer Services - needless to say I took it up with their CEO as their T&C don't make it obvious and I got a generous compensation, however, I think it remains unchanged despite having it in writing that they were doing it with immediate effect.

If you like Cadbury's chocolate inspired confections then stick to them. The chocolate from Hotel Chocolat is very good but if you prefer cheap, eat cheap. I like Aldi chocolate particularly the 85% cocoa solid bars, it doesn't mean this stuff is no good though.

I singed up a few years ago, cancelled and never got more than the first box (that I paid for) they continued to bill me for chocolates they never sent. I wasn't able to resolve it with them, then moved house so for all I know they are probably still chasing for money I don't owe.

I only ordered boxes at £6.95, and went for the classic and fortified. This created 2 subscriptions but the second just uses the card details of the first. You can go for all four boxes at £6.95 each if you want to, just remember to cancel.

Also, by adding the extra regular section (the second box) are we signed up for 2 x £22.95 subscriptions, or is the second seen as an add-on to the existing 1 x £22.95. Noting that the full price is only charged if we don't cancel.
The reason I ask is that I only put my bank details in once.

I think each box you choose will be an additional £22.95 subscription so it's definitely important to cancel it. What I've done is set it to 12 weeks instead of 4, so after they've arrived it gives me a good bit of time to cancel it. As long as you can remember then I'd recommend doing the same!

Yes that's correct, if you add another box it will be an additional subscription. Each type/flavour of box is always a separate subscription, so always remember to go into "My Tasting Club"/"My Subsriptions/Boxes" (whatever it's called) and cancel each one separately when you need to. You can also change how often you want to receive the boxes (4/8/12 weeks). Be aware that they mark a box as dispatched a good while (maybe 1-2 weeks) before the estimated delivery date that shows, so don't leave it too late to cancel! It's super easy to cancel online, which is a relief, I hate making phone calls to strangers. :P
I haven't given them my real phone number either, I've heard that they do make a lot of marketing calls and I really do not want any of those. Other than that, I've always been happy with their customer service, they have always been friendly and professional and never hesitate to help in the rare cases when something's not right.
I love their chocolates and often shop in their high street stores and their webshop too, so I don't really have anything bad to say about them. I know they're expensive (so it's more like special occasion treats), but I think a lot of their chocs are super tasty. Very flavourful and not too sweet (depending on which chocs you choose of course).

Many of ths chocolates in the selections are the same if you order several selections for the same delivery. Just a heads up.
I used them last Xmas and had no issues whatsoever. This year I just did the same, put both boxes on 12 week renewal so I have loads of time to cancel and used my landline phone number rather than mobile as no phone is plugged in. That said cancelling was very easy, and I just get the odd voucher in the post to try to tempt me back.
