My husband likes normal Jack with Coke but likes the honey or the fire versions on their own. He's never tried this but am really tempted to buy it for him for a little tipple on Christmas eve. Do you think he'd like it? Is the taste similar to normal jack? I can't comment since I had 32 shots when I was 17 and ended up in hospital! Good times.....but I cant even smell it now. Ruined it for myself :disappointed: Is it worth a punt?

Bought some on the same offer last week, not as impressed as I thought I'd be to be honest, hot for the price though

It's like a very smooth version of JD, I like this with coke or strait with ice, but normal JD I only drink with coke
id say your better buying the bulleit bourbon on amazon if you have prime. much better than this and its cheaper at the moment.

I'd probably get the £18 Bulleit ahead of this but prefer this to Buffalo Trace, so great for the price.

Yea, sorry I was being pedantic! Gentleman jack is a great dram, far smoother than Old No 7. This is a great price beating the usual discounted price of £23 in Tesco. Never tasted Bulleit or Buffalo Trace so may just grab a bottle seeing as its the season to be jolly.

Jack and Bourbon are both whiskey. Jack is a Tennessee whiskey (filtered through charcoal stacks) whilst Bourbon is generally light, sweet, corn (51%) derived whiskey aged in oak barrels for at least 4 years.

Far better available at this price range - Bulleit, Devils Cut, Woodford all superior, Gentlemen Jack seems quite harsh in comparison
