Last week Thursday, iTunes quietly announced J. Cole's 4th studio album. "4 your eyez only" was completely unexpected as he has been virtually retired for the past 2 years since the December 2014 release of his last album. Incidentally, this album had no features but went DOUBLE platinum. The man is talented.
This was BIG news and took over social media. I got extremely excited. I have just noticed that the price to pre-order on iTunes is £2.49. £2.49!!! If we take £10 as an unofficial RRP for a studio album, this is 75% off. For a brand new album by the best rapper in the game. It may be a glitch I don't know because it makes no sense, but you have no excuse not to legally support his music!
J. Cole is seen as the saviour of Hip-Hop/Rap by many, because there is nobody like him. He speaks about real issues, has a passion and love for music and is a great story teller. He doesn't rap about money/girls and in fact just recently got married to his childhood sweetheart.
Ok so I've rambled on so much. Just so excited you see - you never would have guessed! If you don't like Hip-Hop/Rap, give this a try. Nothing to lose for £2.49 and like I say, he IS the saviour. If you do like Hip-Hop, or more importantly you are a fan of J. Cole, then enjoy!!!
Expected release date: 12/12/16

He clearly would have written about that way before Kanye went into hospital. His "diss" was also not rude or anything, was just being completely honest. Nevertheless the song is not on the album.

After dissing Kayne when his in hospital clearly not well. I won't be buying this album. I know people don't like Kanye but talk about kicking a man when his down.

Far from a diss, he was speaking the truth. Im a massive Kanye fan and I'm glad someone said it.

J.Cole was the saviour of Hip-Hop, his early material really brought it back to life but im not so sure about his recent work. Just seems like hes taking shots at rappers to raise his profile. Anyway im sure this will be on streaming sites like Spotify or Apple Music so can listen before deciding to purchase.
I hear people say the same things about Joe Budden but his latest album is top shelf. People like Joe, J. Cole and Kendrick say it as like it is and I can believe them.

Good deal if available at that price, but saviour of hip hop is a bit strong.
His albums have all been great so far and I expect this to be as good.

If I don't like hiphop/rap why would I give this a try, it won't change my mind as I don't like hiphop/rap!!! Yes I would be losing £2.49 that could be better spent on something else :man:

To say he is the "Saviour of hip hop" and that there is nobody like him is a bit of a stretch. He's good but some fans make him out to be the second coming of Jesus. Personally, I think Lupe Fiasco's Tetsuo and Youth was the best conscious hip hop album of recent memory, with To Pimp a Butterfly being a close second. But that's just my opinion.
Lol. The point is it is nothing like the "Hip-Hop" you probably think of. That's an assumption because I don't know you, but J. Cole is a very clever, conscious rapper that does not brag/boast about his life and instead talks about real issues and spreads positivity. If you could have, that £2.49 would have been worth it. Variety is the spice of life
