How people break cables is beyond me. I've never even broken a genuine Apple cable when I've heard people say they break them getting them out the box.

Got 2 of these Anker cables for either side of the bed and can say they are quality.

Don't buy!!!!! I had this for a few days and it got so hot I couldn't touch it.... lucky I was in as it could of caused a fire. Contacted anker and they told me to bin it and sent me an upgraded version which these aren't. DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!
Look at the amazon reviews with them melting.
I contacted anker telling them they shouldn't be selling these as the are dangerous.

I have one of these cables. I paid £9 and am very happy with the quality.

If you are looking for a quality cable that is long (great for laying around in bed)

Mine lasted two months then started the 'not supported' nonsense.

Then again, even Apple ones do that too. Hate lightning leads.

I find the Amazon basic cables best as they last about 6 months and Amazon replace them no questions ask every time.. but best bit is order a 2 pack and when one fails you send it back and the send you a new 2 pack,

I'd never broken a cable in my life until lightening cables. My iPad 3rd gen is still using the same cable that came with my iPhone 3G to charge. Yet I've gone through lightening cables like there's no tomorrow.

Doesn't matter which you buy after a few months they start with the not supported then just stop working.

I find these good in the car where generally cables need to be tougher.

That said, I've never managed to damage an official Apple one! Dunno how people do it.

They stop working when you PULL the cable out from the wire, if you pull the fabke out from the lightning plastic part you will never have a problem, im still using a lightning cable from the first iPad mini.

Original genuine cables charge much faster. It is what is is with 3rd party gear - you get what you pay for.
