Don't waste your money, these are now made in some far away Chinese sweat shop and the quality is atrocious nowadays, just google to find some rather disappointing reviews.

To be fair to OP, £20 is still a great price on a pair of mid range wellies. Most things are made in China now, due to the non existent workers rights and very poor working conditions. Our minimum wage is the equivalent to a well paid job in China.

Dont disagree.. However these wellies are nice and tall and I struggle to get tall ones for my daughter. Most shop bought ones are shorter and they range from £13-£17 with the quality being even worse. The reviews were probably based on paying £50-£70 which in all fairness is expensive. I always found these wellies lasted for all 3 of my kids - so a good investment and even managed to get a few quid after that on FB sites. Not get that with your average shop bought ones.

Bought Hunter wellies last year and didn't even last 2 weeks. The front leaked and started to come apart while walking the dog. I would never buy again

Rubbish quality nowadays, a pair of cheap Dunlops would be a better bet.

It's funny you can tell some people but they refuse to listen....These were good once and now they are not
The new ones are utter garbage but buy if you must..... I'd save my money and buy a decent pair in the sales

Not for me, reviews are bad like others have also pointed out.
Purchased some tall, extra warm wellies from Decathlon last year. Love them!

Well I opted for the cheaper ones. Hope I don't regret it! If they fall apart after two weeks like in some of the reviews, I won't feel so bad!

Thank you just my size, heat added. Also if it helps anyone, Hunter confirmed that the Outnet are an authorised Hunter seller.

Can anyone suggest alternatives that are made in Britain?

Hunters are poor these days, £20-£30 is about the right price, however if you want a pair of wellies that will last then the only choice for me is Le Chameau, yes they are expensive but they do not leak and will likely be the last pair you need to buy if your a normal user.
