Seriously looking at this after dithering over the yoga 900 in black Friday. Either this or a surface pro with 8gb. Obviously this is a bit cheaper but concerned about the screen cracking issues. Will it run rock band well? And some photoshop possible autocad? ?

the one you are referring to isn't the Spectre model - there in lies the difference, methinks.

Brilliant colour gamut > 100% srgb.
Biggest downer is that the ram is 8gb and you can't upgrade it

Excellent laptop I purchased the signature edition in the states at beginning of year for $1300 and yes the dell pen works best

Bit more than I paid for mine but it's best laptop I've ever used. And I work in IT.
Don't really have a need for it at the moment - but I will probably look out for a cheap one on ebay at some point.
The new late 2016/2017 model looks nice - but can't believe they have taken away then pen input and SD card reader!

Bought this from Very a couple of weeks ago when they had 20% off (plus £100 cash back), interesting afterwards I saw the very deal had been posted and got negative heat so this has done well! Love machine, superb quality, better than the pavilion that someone has referred to.

True its better than Pavilion X360, I have the Pavilion though and its whole lot better machine than HP die-hard haters complain . absolutely Spectre x360 is a premium product .

This is a really nice laptop - got the same version from Littlewoods just before black Friday.
Should hopefully be getting it cheaper than this after cashback though.
Probably the best 2-in-1 device in terms of build quality and operation.
If you don't need the pen input then I would say it is better than a Surface Pro 4.
It is a shame that no one seems to be selling the 7th gen 2016 models yet!

It's a premium product which doesn't fit well on this site with the likes of the 50p yorkshire pudding voters or those who think anything over £150 for a laptop is too much

I bought something similar last year @ £499
Basically the same machine but with a 128GB ssd instead of 256GB like this one
In fact HERE is the deal and it didn't get very hot either.
The deal stated it was a 5th Generation I5 but it turned out to be a 6th like this.

Also you can use certain Dell pens and from the review I read - the Dell 750-AAGN actually worked better.
