Strange, my son has an i3 with 4GB of RAM and a 750Ti runs all games in 1080p at least 30fps no issues.

OP you need to show the price it costs which is £494.98 then state there's a trade in of up to £200

Good price considering the i7 is £300 alone anyway. Although if above comment is true then you're out of luck

Thankfully I could use this and put it through the business.
Anyone got experience with upgrading the ram/graphics card on these?

I got one of these months ago for someone else, I did upgrade the RAM to 8 GB as it has an empty slot and while I had the lid off I checked it for a graphics card upgrade.
Low profile single slot (PCI-E x16) gfx card required (as there is only 1 back plate available) there is a bit of room for a larger heat sink but not much, no graphics card power plug on the wiring loom.

You could be a one man business - many non business people have traded in before and had no problem, just make sure you follow the terms and conditions to meet the criteria. It is a very good deal IF you have something to trade in

That model only qualifies for the £150 trade in price if you manage to process the claim.
I've used the trade up to HP offer loads, the easiest route is to buy a tablet from ebay for circa £25-30.
It takes time, they drag it out to the fullest timescale available, but never any issues.

That's interesting, doesn’t that mean either the description G3 SFF or the manufacturer part number is incorrect on ebuyer? Edit:- No the SFF G3 referred to W4A24ES is an i5 qualifying for the £150, so good spot OP.

What rot, I mean I have to disagree my good man, you can run Windows 10 on 2GB, not that you'd really want to, 4GB is more than enough for an average user, especially when you've got an SSD bunged in for good measure.

I have it a cold because I know for a fact that ebuyer will not let you return the item for any reason (unless you take to court  )
Agreed that the headline price should be changed. I went for this yesterday, 7 quid topcashback, picked the cheapest delivery and it's arriving tomorrow. If the trade-in works out then it's a bargain with the i7, ddr4 and ssd. It's not got great options for expansion due to the case size, but it does get good reviews.

you can get a better spec machine for less money from other sites, unfortunately those other sites havnt paid hotukdeals to list on here so they keep deleting them
Did the whole £200 cashback thing fly right through you?
Also your comparing a branded computer which should have some thought into the components used to assemble it and most problems ironed out, word is refined,
against
a no name computer that has the components all just slapped together with probably little or no refinement.

This is a steal if it's what you're looking for - obviously it's not intended to be a gaming machine, but the 6700 is a very good processor, 4gb of ram can be extended easily & cheaply, and 128gb ssd is enough for me, as it won't be 'storing' anything (just a headless processing server)
Don't worry too much about the business requirement - if they ask, you're a sole trader. I've used it before without any issues.
Was going to pick up a 2nd hand i5 sff business machine - was looking at £150 + ssd upgrade costs (and poss win 10 upgrade costs) - so this is a no-brainer for me.
I got mine from BT Shop, as there was a 'bundle deal' which included the extended HP 3-year warranty/service agreement for free.

Jus Make up a name, its no big deal like John leak and son the plumbers, 8 year old laptops wont give you £200 though.
You could probably dual boot 7 and 10, 7 is a lot better on net - no adverts.

If you have a qualifying trade in, then this is great value. In my experience, HP's supply chain and support are great (if you can navigate through their assault course of an organisation). As others have mentioned, representing a sole trader to class yourself as a business is simple and will almost certainly work for the trade in (based on my experience with HP).
For an i7 which would match many of our recently deployed (approx 20 user) xeon server procs this machine has a good foundation. An additional 8GB crucial upgrade to 12GB for around £45 (which will work with the 4GB HP RAM) should address any memory complains people have.
The expansion options, although limited, are enough for a non gamer - it's definitely a small form factor so balls-out graphics card are a no-no.
I'm on the cusp of getting this for a music-production friend of mine. Has anyone got any experience with the trade in amounts. Do they vary based on what is supplied? Or is it always max as long as it's a qualifying trade in item?

I've read a few reports of trade in values being reduced because HP (or their recycling company) state items are missing like cables, power supplies (for laptops) even when the items were returned. I suggest make a very specific list and take photos of what you're returning so you have evidence should something crop up. Make sure you read the small print about what is acceptable, they say 7 year old desktops but do they actually check to see when yours was bought and how? Some people especially buy up crappy but working 10" tablets from Ebay as they're accepted even for desktops (or they were) - so that's a very neat and easy item to return.

Just for info, I posted my trade-in on Wednesday last week and my cash back was validated today. I traded in a 6.5year old Asus desktop I got from eBay for £20. It was in good cosmetic condition and booted into Windows fine. The whole process was straightforward and I would recommend it (having also previously used tradeup to get a hp i3 ssd laptop for £180) . Now to upgrade the RAM on this thing
