How did you get this for the same price as this deal? The envy is 650?
Thanks

i think the main specification for me is portability. 15" will be big and heavy so 13" will be very ideal for me, as a student.
Any laptops that are cheap, touchscreen enabled and very mobile for university? thanks

Does anyone think that this laptop will have a better deal at boxing day? I need to reduce price because I'm a student and I'm broke.

I doubt it will be cheaper, they will no doubt have some discount vouchers but probably similar to this.
There are a lot of similar spec'd 15" going for the £400 mark, do you need 13"?
I've not even had mine delivered but decided to return it and get the envy instead. 20% lighter, same spec, usb c charging and backlit keyboard for the same price, I was never bothered about the 360 side of things
Has this got an aluminium body, Is it not mostly plastic.

that was one of the things putting me off as I sometimes work in bed at night and the Mrs moans about the light. but hey tough. this is a decent deal for a 7th gen. plus a lot of the ones coming out new have a qhd screen, I do like high resolutions but I'd rather stick with 1080p and get an extra hours battery life

no backlight on keyboard as far as I can tell
However I have ordered one as this looks a decent spec for the price

The discrete graphics on the Dell is appealing but that and this HP are completely different computers and designed for different markets and requirements - I doubt anyone looking at this would really be comparing it to the Dell, which is a more traditional machine.

This ticks some of the essential requirements boxes but then other nice-to-have boxes, from my perspective.
Being sensible, I don't need the convertible features or the touch screen. Would prefer something with a larger screen and a bit more umph.
Also, just returning another HP Laptop that appeared to have a number of shortcomings.
However, this is a lot of laptop for the money, for those that are seeking the features on offer. Voted hot.

I have 13" version of this laptop and that is the best purchase I made. Now I plan to buy the 15".
