This is an A3+ printer, can print beyond (slightly) A3 size
Scanner (up to A3!) on top, and wifi/hard wired network printing.
ADF - auto document feeder, scan a stack of stuff at once
Duplexer - prints on both sides of the page automatically.
Runs on very cheap ink too, 932XL / 933XL , ~1000 pages black and ~800 colour, compatibles are under £7 for a set of all 4 carts - this makes it a lot cheaper than an awful lot of lasers to run :smiley:
No personal experience of this one, though one's in the post - at yesterdays price, which was even cheaper! Gone up from ~£52 to £66 overnight, but still worth posting imo, a cracking deal - and it might fluctuate down again by the time you read this!
I have got experience of a similar printer in an HP A4 MFP, same carts, and I've no complaints. New wave of decent office inkjets do compare pretty well to small lasers, with their big size low price carts and fast print speeds.
Also is a fax!

Who says the free market works when companies like these survive and grow??
Far better with a laser. I've had mine for around 18 months and the toner level hasn't moved. Mind you, it's still in the box, so that helps. :smiley:

Given I used to work for ebuyer, happily (best part of a decade ago, but not much changed!), and have printed about half a million pages on HP printers, I'd chalk that up to YMMV :smiley:

No issues with both. Shopped at ebuyer many times no issues. Bought a hp laser printer from Gumtree for £5, still going strong.

I cannot be bothered to write it all again, lets just say really shoddy service from both companies.
BTW, I used and recommended HP for over a decade before they stopped caring about their customers.
My printer stats show it costs me £1 per page I print :disappointed: on my officejet 6700...these will be the same. Never again HP!.
You can hear it drinking your ink...over and and over....and over...when you're not even using the damn printer. You're just scanning a document or it turns on...or off. drink...drink...drink. Where the hell does it all go?

Are you talking about a colour laser? If not, that`s comparing chalk with cheese! And even so, the resolution of a cheap colour laser is much worse than even the cheapest inkjet and the contrast when printing on glossy paper is much higher.The main advantage, IMO, of the laser is it is useful for occasional printing as toner doesn`t dry and clog jets.

I dont rate cheap Epsons as they are very rattly, but their WP range of SOHO all-in-one printers is pretty good, even with genuine ink, it costs me less per page than most lasers, B/W or colour.(0.5ppp for Black text)

When it cleans the jets, the ink goes into a sump containing thick felt. If you`ve had your printer for a few years, this will be saturated with ink. You have to be careful transporting it, it can leak out short circuiting the printed circuit board(s) and staining whatever you`re transporting it on. So do not carry it on its side or worse upside down!

Pre 2007 gear is great, after that they started really cutting corners, not writing proper printer drivers and adding a couple of GB of tatware that HAD to be installed alongside the driver.
I understand that the tatware issue has been partially resolved, but not the habit of abandoning customers whenever they feel like it.
As for Ebuyer, it wasnt the buying that was the issue, it was the failure to replace a DOA device, then a 6 month runaround for a refund which ended up with me having to send a Registered Post letter to their French HQ.
If I hadnt just changed banks, I could have initiated a charge back.

Recently picked one of these up for £69 at PC World Clearance store in Manchester and I would definitely recommend it at this price. It's a very versatile machine with auto duplex, auto document feeder and of course A3+ printing & scanning. It will even send and receive faxes (how very 1980's). Not used it enough to yet to have to replace any of the (introductory) cartridges but compatible replacements look very cheap. Only real drawback is it takes up a lot of space.
Incidentally I have bought numerous items from Ebuuyer without a problem (though never had to return anything).

Always been HP user, and ebuyer user with no problems, but I'll not be updating HP printer until a proper resolution to 'expiring' cartridges (currently, have to just cover some pins to reset them), or the 'stealth' firmware upgrade to block use of 3rd party ink carts.

I put a quarter million pages on an HP Color Laserjet CP4005n, that I bought for £1* from ebay :P Picked up from an ice rink in nottingham iirc!
Was when I was running my ebay business (lots of packing slips and labels), had already chewed through a brand new Samsung annnnd a Brother (both fairly high end, ~£400 RRP jobbies), that had caused no end of problems after way less printing.
The HP had ~220'000 pages to begin with, lasted way longer than either of them, and caused no headaches that I can remember.
.... In fact, it's still working, it's just a bit of a lump and I'm not printing so much these days, so it's in storage out of the way :smiley:
*(I did of course put over £1000 worth of consumables in it to do that!)

My experience of the (rather similar to this) OfficeJet Pro 276dw hasn't been the same - could hop straight to a basic driver if I wanted, and the extra software was definitely functional rather than bloatware - some OCR/PDF toolkit, status monitor and deployment tools..... were you using a home-oriented model perhaps?
Granted it's nowhere near as solidly built as my old Laserjet lump, but seems fairly functional nontheless :smiley:

Pssst I can't be bothered buying a new toner. £25.. Samsung laser was £25 so I bought that instead. Regretted it instantly. It didn't even have an lcd display :disappointed:. Still got the hp. Two years of prints for £5 is well worth it. It's mono of course.

I've had a few, from basic home jobs for the children at the nursery, through to rather expensive full duplex SOHO jobs.
The tatware was worst on the cheapest "D" series, no way to install the driver on the CD without also installing 1.2GB of useless "extras", that slowed the childrens old PC to a crawl.
The most expensive SOHO model was the one that broke the camels back, I bought it 6 months before the official Win7 launch, when every other printer maker were already including Win7 drivers, and found it only worked properly on XP, the Vista drivers were unusably buggy.
Luckily I still had XP on a couple of the PCs, so this wasnt a big deal in itself, but when I went to Win7 I found that there was only a very basic MS driver that allowed you to print, and that was it, no Duplex, no photo paper adjustments, no advanced printer controls, no network support, it was basic via USB or nothing.

the only other sort of deal i could see was the 7510 on amazon warehouse. i bought it along with a couple other item to get the £30 off £100 selected item.
in theory 2 printers about 130 minus 30 for promotion ( you could even use the £5 gift voucher too save another £5) = 100 then 2 cadhbacks of £25 so 50 so 2 a3 printers £50.
I didnt buy 2 printers but brought the total to 100 with other items so 100 - 30 -5 - 25 = £40 for the printer plus other bits that were 35 before deduction. Hopefully the returner didnt use the code . guess I'll see.

Haha. Maybe. The other thing to be thought about is the rather massive footprint, unless you really do need A3 for copying or printing,
A useful feature (with all modern HP printers) is e-print which means you can print to it from anywhere you can send an email from (and it will automatically recognise pdfs. )
I`m quite tempted by this. :smiley:

Set mine up today, footprint's not so bad when it's out of the box - smaller than your average a4 colour laser was when they still cost over £250..
And yeah, the eprint etc features aren't bad, most things you should be able to do you can do fairly easily from any device. Still, the extra convolution in setup to make all that work does seem to blame for a lot of confusion from Amazon customers who are "just trying to print" :smiley:
