It may be a good deal(I have not voted either way). 100W is a lot of energy and it taxes your pocket and the planet. I would look for an LED option

The power drawn depends on what bulb you install on it. Isn't?

Correct. If you buy an LED equivalent of 100W, it is at least £8 if you shop around. I was just thinking about that in my additional investment to make this functional

You can screw in any ES fitted bulb that you wish. I recently fitted a similar porch lamp (same price reduction from Argos) and fitted a 5W LED bulb from Screwfix (a 5 for £8 HUKD deal). It is the approx equivalent of a 60W incandescent bulb and gives plenty of light. The 100W quoted is a max power rating based on the fitting and the heat dissipation from it, I would assume. Any rating below that is suitable.

I got some of those too, they are fantastic for the price, quite a lot brighter than the old energy saver bulb

Check again tomorrow evening after the stores have closed or Wednesday. Some people probably won't have collected their reservation. If that fails try later in the week.

bought one today ,easily fitted ,and put a LED 60w equivillent , perfect.
I bought one of these. The PIR is not adjustable, light only comes on when motion is detected. It does this day and night. Useless for my need. I wanted one doesn't not come on during day light

It says "The PIR is adjustable for time, dusk to dawn lighting, and sensistivity.". Is that not true in which you should return the item.

If there's free delivery on this, why does it say 'Not available for Home Delivery' when I try to order it? (I live in mainland UK).

The description is incorrect, may be the items they sell now is different.
There is no switch/dial/option to adjust the PIR.
I will be returning the item.

Hi there,
I can confirm that the PIR is adjustable so that this can be achieved.

I did see that. However it is 11 months old and may have changed the product. One of the reviews in Argos also confirm the PIR is not adjustable. I can't see any dial underneath in mine.

conflicting answers being posted. argos Q&A says it's adjustable but people here saying it's not?

I bought this 4 days ago. I meant the Q&A was 11 months old. It would be good if someone else can also confirm.

I bought 2 of these - one in store, and one on-line - both identical. Although I've yet to fit them, I can confirm that they have dials for both duration (5 sec - 12 mins) and sensitivity (200 - 30 Lux). The dials are situated behind a black lift-up flap next to the clear PIR cover, so can be adjusted with the lamp in situ. The direction of the PIR is fixed. Hope this helps.
