I could also get a bigger bottle of white lightning for the price of a bottle of nice wine.

Really tempted to get this TV to replace my old 50 inch Panasonic G20. Does anyone think it will drop in price anymore?

This close to the January sales i'd be more tempted to wait and see what deals appear tbh.

I agree its probably best to wait but i doubt it will go down much further its already a bargain ! what may happen is the samsung ks7000 may come down to this level which would then pose the question whether its better to buy the better known branded version or save abit of money and go with the hisense. Undecided myself i'm also looking for a new tv and will be waiting for the sale to make my final decision.

Advertised as 10 bit hdr... does this mean this is full hdr? I don't really understand the nits part

I think it's about 400 nits which doesn't hit the 1000 nits of the Samuel ks7000 but I've been following the threads on avforums of the Samsung and I can't believe the problems people are having with it, so this looks very tempting. Good review on avforums of the 65" version worth a read! Heat
By the way just to put a spanner in the works HDR just got a bit more complicated as broadcasted HDR seems will have to support HLG hybrid log gamma, so perhaps more than just how bright a tv can get!

So much going on, OLED, HDR10, Dolby Vision and now HLG. Might just get this and wait for a few years til the dust has settled.

I wouldn't take any notice of what "which" says : look at avforums or trusted review e.c.t.
