So they're saying if you view mainly preview ie standard def and 1080i material you're still better of getting Full HD set over 4K because of the upscaling problem right?

I'm looking for a tv to watch mostly standard def. Is there any you would recommend? I dont play video games so not worried about how games play....thanks

I have this TV and standard definition is quite muddy. Use HD or the ps4 pro and it's awesome. I went on YouTube and ran a 4k video and was amazed at how good it was. Great value for money though.

This is the problem I think that many like me who don't play games on the tv, still like a lot of material on freeview which will never be remastered to even HD and don't want to fork out for Sky Q or don't even get a decent broadband to stream 4K let alone HDR - and from what I've researched, any 4K tv whether OLED or top of the range LED the fact that it has to (guess) through software to fill in the pixels, let alone the distance from the tv for viewing 4K, makes it a bit of a waste of time? I'm now thinking again to try and get a (good) Full HD set if there's still any around. Very confused.com. haha

Not much in it, apart from price IMO. If you are getting the 42" Sony I'd say go for it. If it's the larger models I wouldn't bother as they are IPS panels.

Yeah I've got the 43" for £500. i like it as it's an VA panel but this did look good.

Hi I have bought this tv. I have connected hdmi to my skybox hdmi port 3. Problem is my video image is not clear blurry. Can some one tell me how to change the video display settIngs make picture crisp clear. I have no clue what to change. Pleas help

are you looking at standard Def TV that will be abit blurry due to the pixels being stretched try some Hd channels to test, it could be the cable if its a really old one, had that issue on my Samsung TV and sky, but most likely it'll will probly be a settings have a play around you can always reset it if everyone turns orange or something :wink:

Sky my tv is on Dynamic mode. Also can we install kodi on this tv. My YouTube is also blurry videos. I have no clue how to use this tv my first day using this tv

This or the HiSense 50M3300 - I can't see the difference between the two other than the M5500 claiming it has HDR but it's 8bit panel.
