I already have a Hue set-up throughout the house, so when I saw non-Philips bulbs that are compatible with Hue for less than half the price of Hue GU10's I thought it was too good to be true.

So they arrived in nice stylish packaging, containing only the bulb and a small "instruction" booklet. Quite honestly the booklet was useless and had little or no detail on how to set anything up. They tried to use diagrams without words to explain the set-up, but the diagrams make little sense (even when you know how the set-up works).

Once plugged in I hit the first obstacle, after following the very simple instructions to pair the bulbs with my Hue bridge, the process simply didn't work. I unplugged the bulbs and put them into a lamp which I sat immediately next to the Hue bridge, once again the set-up failed. So I called the support guy who explained others had the same problem, and he advised installing a Java based desktop app called "Lamp Finder" ... but before doing that I decided to simply power cycle the Hue bridge and try the same set-up again, and bingo the new bulbs were picked up immediately. So far so good.

Then once the bulbs were set-up I plugged them back into the position in the house where they would be used (front porch), and unfortunately I could not control them with the Hue app. I figured that they need to be closer to the bridge, so eventually I had to relocate my Hue bridge and everything was working again. I never had an issue of distance between Philips bulbs and Hue bridge location, and even now I have Philips bulbs located much further away from the bridge than these Innr bulbs, and the Philips bulbs work fine.

My house is full of regular LED GU10's, when I've taken them out of the socket they have been warm but never hot. But with these Innr bulbs which were not on for a very long time, when I took them out they were very hot to the touch, which makes me question their energy efficiency, they are losing a lot of energy through heating up.

In collusion, I was considering returning these bulbs due to the 2 negative issues (distance with Hue bridge, energy / heat loss), but I'm going to hold on to them for a while longer before making my decision. Its great to finally see ZigBee products on the market at a better price point than Philips and attempting to break the Philips monopoly.

Their colour bulbs are £29.99 - £20 cheaper than the equivalent Philips bulb - yet will also work with the Hue bridge and Alexa (but not with Siri).

Just wanted to point out that these don't work with Apple HomeKit :smiley:

Only Philips Hue bulbs work with Apple Home kit. These are picked up by the Hue bridge and can be used with Alexa I have 2 of these in my setup.

I wouldn't trust any of the information in the Q&A section. Usually filled with incorrect, guessed answers and the ever helpful "I don't know".

The Philips bulbs do have their "White Ambiance" feature that allows you to change the colour temperature. Nearly bought these Innr bulbs for the kitchen, but would like a bulb capable of 4000k really.

Sorry but I can't find the colour version can anyone post this please ? Hot for this and the colour version as these are a great price for Alexa / hue enabled bulbs

Thanks for that appreciated but I was after the gu10 colour but not sure if they do it. Alexa and true hue apps work better than apple HomeKit in my opinion so heat

You can set the colour in the app for when they turn on. You can select it for each lamp. I have lots of lamps on one routine and each one has a different colour as each colour is set per room

Sounds like you are turning them off using your original light switch. When you turn them off using the standard switch they act as a standard bulb and will reset back to the white/yellow colour. In order to get them to come on with their last state then you need a Hue Switch (dimmer or tap)

Ought to work directly with smartthings hub, but reports suggest they don't (yet)

The genuine Hue bulbs use a 'mesh' system so they can pass the wifi signal's via the lamps rather than needing to talk directly to the bridge, allowing for greater distances, from your experience it sounds like the Innr lamps don't do this, on this basis I'll hold off buying these. I have Hue in most rooms but the kitchen is full of GU10's and would cost me a fortune with genuine lamps.

Also bear in mind Hue GU10 bulbs are not standard size, they're much bigger, you would need bigger lamp holders for them. These look to be normal GU10 size

Just to add my experience with this product....

I purchased a couple of these recently to use on my front porch in an up/downlighter which I wanted to automate to come on at sunset and turn off at sunrise. I've already got the Hue Bridge (v2) and some existing Hue lights, these were the first third-party lights I had tried to add on. It was a little bit of a pain to add them to my existing setup and took a few goes but it did eventually work and this was partly my fault anyway. The lights come with an instruction that clearly states, start the search first and then turn the lights on. I missed this to start with but as soon as I did as the instructions said, the Hue app found them on the second attempt.

I'm pleased with them so far, seem nice and bright (I've had to dim them) and give off a very light (I'd say similar to the default warm white on the Hue White Ambiance bulbs). As stated elsewhere they seem like standard GU10 dimensions - I know the standard Hue GU10s would have been no good for this fitting but these were fine. The automation schedule I have setup using iConnectHue (an outstanding third-party iOS app btw) works perfectly so I am extremely pleased. No regrets at all with my purchase.

They have some interesting looking light strips that I may well investigate in the future.

Got my first innr bulb today (bayonet, colour). Checked on the Innr website for installation guidance. It took about 30 seconds to link to my Hue Bridge. Works fine. At almost half the price of Philips bulbs. I'm well pleased.

That's what I use, great App that adds auto adjusting sunset and sunrise times and all timers also allow a random or fixed offset.

I have a Philips bulb on the left, and the Innr bulb on the right, in my living room, and it is hard to see the difference. It's a bit subjective, but I think that the colour is actually a little better/more vivid than the Philips.

To link it to the hub, I ran the Hue app, clicked search, switched the Innr bulb off an on, and it linked right away. Simple. Very pleased, and for £20 less than the equivalent Hue bulb.

I got en email from Innr saying I was one of the first to buy a bulb on Amazon, and would I leave some feedback.

Just to confirm I've also been using these (brought three so far and plan to get another 3 soon) and they seem to work well with my Hue Bridge V1. Just do as they say and search with the bridge first, then turn on lights and they pickup very quickly)
