I know i'm probably gonna get some comments saying this is in a different league, but i've tried numerous Ports, even the aged crusted ones and they all taste virtually the same.

That's a fair enough opinion. I went through a spell two years ago of buying the pricier ports and wines to see what the fuss was about, and absolutely ended up preferring some of the cheaper ones.
Probably a much more pronounced difference between cheap and expensive whiskies for me but for those who're serious about their ports, I'm sure they can tell the difference.

I'm the same, whiskeys yes. Port 'no' and Gin not really all though i really do like the Bombay Sapphire. But the Aldi one and various other named brands all taste very similar

I did a tour of Portugal last year. I spent some time in Porto, visiting the wine lodges in Vila Nova de Gaia and the quintas of the Douro Valley.
There is a massive difference in taste between a cheap ruby port and a 10 year tawny (still a relatively cheap port). That's not to say the ruby is bad and I've never tasted a port I didn't like!

Cheapest I can see this elsewhere at the moment is £16 from Ocado, so this seems a pretty good price.

Ultimately it's all personal preference.
