I collected my Chromecast from Argos this morning, the price had increased to £30 but as I had reserved it £20 thats the price I paid.
I signed up as a new Netflix customer and got 1 month free, then using the Google Home app offers received £22.47 of credit to my Netflix account (so in effect 4 months). Also got 2 months NOW TV Movies for £2 and 90 days free Google Music. Not bad for £20

Great, now I've got more Chromecasts than TV's. First world problems.
I bought one of the Tesco Chromecasts for £18 last week, and it actually came with a sticker on it promising three months of Netflix, not one! Haven't tried it though as it's a gift for Christmas.

Have you had a look in the offers section of the Chromecast app (now called Google Home) ?
Not recently, but then I'm not too interested at the moment anyway. I was more mentioning it in case it might actually be three months for the OP's Chromecasts.

Interestingly I just got an email from Argos about a Chromecast offer starting tomorrow (6th) where it says you get 3 months free Netflix, not sure if it is just a typo or whether they are putting on a new offer tomorrow. Will be interesting to see though the sceptic in me says if they are really doing 3 months the price will not remain £20 as the 3 months Netflix alone would be worth more....

Doesn't it just say "Start your 1 months free trial"? I would read that to mean that you get a month free when you start Netflix...

I want to buy 2016 model chromecast 4k ultra and not this old 2015 model I already have from last year sale. I don't think there is one month extra, just normal 1month free trial which is standard.
I went on chat to ask about it but the adviser didn't seem to know anything about it, though I suppose that is possible since it isn't actually live yet, assuming it isn't a typo, which wouldn't be a first for Argos....

I got a chrome cast from Argos it said 1 month free Netflix included online. When I bought it, it didn't mention it on the box or inside I asked about it on the help option by speaking to an advisor who didn't know anything about it. I rang the store who knew nothing either do I returned it,where I asked them to check other boxes all were the same & I bought the same from Currys for £18 saving £2

I was looking into this before and you can put kodi onto your Android phone (never checked I phones etc) and there is a way of casting so in effect yes you could put kodi through your TV using a the Google cast. Google it and you will see. I got kodi on my phone, that part was easy but I didn't manage to get it to cast!

You could always order on fast track so you pay now and collect tomorrow - thus holding the price of £20

I managed to get one via flubiting the argos url when it was £20 and effectively got the delivery free from the flubit discount. Thing is there is absolutely no mention whatsoever on the outer packaging about the offer, could I have gotten an old one that doesn't have it or is this normal?
The second thing is I already have a Chromecast registered to my Google account from a earlier Wuaki deal, will I be ok to register another one or could it make me ineligible for the Netflix deal? Planning on selling one as I don't really need two so would I be better off resetting the old one first and removing it from my account (if you can) before registering the new one?
Finally, could anyone advise how the 3 months scales to the higher UHD tier of Netflix e.g. do you get two months instead of three?
I currently subscribe to Netflix on the UHD tier as I have a 4K set and it is one of the few sources of UHD material. Can anyone confirm if it scales ok to the UHD tier as I don't really want to drop to HD since UHD content was the main reason I subbed in the first place....

So maybe someone bought it just to get the Netflix deal and returned it? Sneaky **** *** ***** ******.
