Great price, I bought mine a couple of weeks ago from Gearbest for £126... still waiting for delivery.
As far as I know there aren't any custom ROMs (including Xiaomi.eu) yet as it's so new, so hopefully the retailer won't add any bloatware/adware/spyware to the ROM -- I suppose you could always flash the official global ROM just to be sure.

There isn't a global version of this. Also make sure you reflash it as basically all resellers put on dodgy vendor roms. Also xiaomi.eu rom is available.
Great price but I'm waiting for two actual global model with band 20 required for proper 4g support in the UK.

As far as I know, only the SE version of the Note 3 Pro has Band 20 (I have one on its way).
As mentioned above, they are VERY slow to dispatch the phones, I ordered mine on the 11th November and only got the dispatch notification a few days ago, NOT happy. With one exception, everything else I ordered from AE that day has arrived, most of it within 10 days.

Mainly an issue with O2 4G (or any network using O2's). Partly EE too.
Gentle_Giant
6 Dec 161#16
4G isnt one frequency, it is a number, each set of frequencies has a band number; in the UK the bands currently used are 3, 7, 18, and 20.
Different phone companies use a mix of these, O2 mostly use Band 20 (the poverty spec one), as it gives the best coverage per mast; this means that if you live outside of a major town/city, O2 often has the best coverage - if not speed (20 being the slowest).
So if the phone doesnt have band 20, and you live in the country or a small town/village, you probably wont get 4G.
I hope this helps.

Supposedly, the 625 is FASTER than the 650 for most applications - Fewer but faster cores from what I remember; if software writers start writing better code for multi-cores, that might change.

The Redmi 3 has a snapdragon 616 and the 3S a 430. The Note 3 Pro has the 650. This might be a little slower for very intensive stuff, but it has better graphics, is a newer model and is 14nm rather than 28nm so much more efficient. Also it is a 5" phone which lots of people prefer.
There is an international version of the Redmi 3S with Band 20.

OK, not heard of issues with those.
I always found Orange (as was) gave better coverage than anyone else, and I know O2 coverage charts are "optimistic", but equally, I have known a lot of people who say that EE might show up as working, but 02 worked better in more rural areas.
Of course, if 02 dont get some investment, it wont matter, because they will go bust (as will 3), BT/EE now control 2/3rd of all the bandwidth in the UK.

Aliexpress is China's equivalent to eBay and similarly when eBay first started some sellers weren't always trustworthy. Unfortunately, China is the home of copied electronic devices so its more likely than not that Aliexpress will have traders selling such goods. In the past, I've purchased two devices from Aliexpress which turned out to be fake, however when the seller failed to rectify the problem, I found lodging a complaint with Aliexpress itself did the trick. They investigated, confirmed the goods to be fake, refunded my money in full and closed down the seller. Just make sure all communication with the seller is via Aliexpress portal and not via your own email account. I found them much better than Gearbest to be honest.
Gentle_Giant to uk3g

i've had similar refunds, however one seller insisted I sent back the device for testing, then failed to collect it from customs in China; by the time it was returned to me undelivered, AE had closed the case and wouldnt give me a refund, so I was out not only the purchase price, but the cost of sending it Tracked, back to the seller.

Going on history they have recently been releasing a Taiwan model with band 20 approximately 6 months after the phones initial release.
This means should we get this of the 4, it'll be some time. The note 4 was released in August and we've not seen a band 20 version of that yet.
If you're not on a carrier needing it, I'd say go for it. Especially at this price. I mean, £110 for a phone. Even if you buy this for 6 - 8 months until the band 20 you'll still get your money worth!

What is the difference between the Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime on a previous post Your text here and this Xiaomi Redmi 4 Pro?

Newer usually means better, but the Note 3 refresh is faster than several of the newer models, so I dont know.
I have the Note3 Pro/SE, which has full UK LTE support, for £120 I got a lot of phone - 3GB RAM/32GB ROM, new hexa-core cpu, and just stuck a 128GB microSD card in it for photos, music and films.
The only real issue is that it is slightly (~3mm) longer than the original Note 3, so the cases dont fit very well.

Thanks for the response. The Note is 5.5" screen and I think that is the same size as the Samsung 7 edge which I find slightly too large hence why looking for the 5" screens which an 1" larger than the iphone 5.

Please remember that marking items as Gifts does not carry any weight in terms of customs duty anymore. Were any item exceeds the threshold of £15 as at the last time I checked, duty is liable. The only reason why many find that they don't end up having to pay duty is as a result of using standard delivery and Royal Mail having huge numbers of letters and or parcels to sort. Whereas, DHL and UPS will check each and every parcel and apply duty plus charges as and when required. Im sure fabricating the value of the item in order to evade duty is also an offence but who will be ultimately liable is questionable.
Gentle_Giant to uk3g
7 Dec 16#67
The quietly lowered it to £14 earlier this year., and obviously the weak UKP means that you are even more likely to end up paying.
To date, in 4 years of buying from AE, I have only once had a charge via a Post Office delivery, but EVERY DHL/FEDEX parcel now gets a demand - in the case of DHL even if it is below the threshold (shyters are trying it on).
